Ceremony Venue for Intimate Wedding

Hi All!

My wedding is a destination wedding and we are having our reception at Muriel's! However, I can't for the life of me find a great ceremony location for a group of about 60 people! We were thinking of City Park but the people there said you can't have music and you have to rent your own chairs.

Anyone have any ideas? Outdoors is preferred!

TIA

This is a longshot, but maybe Jackson Square.  Otherwise I would look into the Hermann Grima house.  It's in the quarter.

What's the problem with renting your own chairs?  You could get married in any number of outdoor parks simply by renting the chairs and setting them up outdoors.  Audubon Park has all kinds of gorgeous areas that you don't have to pay to use.  New Orleanians are very understanding about not interfering with an outdoor wedding, My wedding was at Audubon and all kinds of passersby quietly watched from the sides.  It was cool!

I was going to suggest Jackson Sqaure as well.  You can rent chairs for $4 each.  There is also the pool deck on the top floor of the Omni, with a great view, the pool area of the Royal Sonesta, and the gorgeous courtyard of the St. Louis (http://www.stlouishotel.com/french-quarter-weddings.html). I also agree Audobon Park has lots of gorgeous areas too.

amandaf and louisianablue I pm'd back to both of you :-)

Maybe it's a bit late, but if your reception is at Muriel's, you could try the Beauregard-Keyes House. It's lovely with a beautiful garden. I am not 100% sure on the capacity for a wedding ceremony, but might be worth checking out. It's walking distance to Muriel's - or you could even second line there :)
