update on MIL/cold feet

Fi's parents were hanging up on FI, so we wrote an email to them together. We addressed the mean comments made to me and mentioned the ways we have (and my family) has tried to include them.Last night they called and said we totally misunderstood them. UGH! I would have been happy and let it roll off my back if they would have appologized. I hate it when people don't acknowledge they made a mistake or went too far. But w/e. I will not let it ruin our wedding day. I love FI and in the end thats what its about.

    We're sorry.Really, how hard is that to say?  Maybe some things were misunderstood, but obviously not everything and hanging up on someone is pathetic.  I have been in contact with toddlers who have more common sense than that.

    I agree with the hanging up- and their comments! I felt like I was listening to my elementary students argue. Its pretty hard to misunderstand comments like "you make us feel unwelcome" and "erin is controlling everything" and "we have no place in your life anymore." Really...there is not much gray area in that type of attack on me.

    There definitely is not much gray area in those comments.  I'm thinking maybe somewhere else something was construed wrong?  I mean, they raised your FI so they have to be at least a quarter of a percent decent right?  lol

    Perhaps she knows how badly she behaved and is hoping by being civil it will all go away.I'm sorry they are jerks, but FI is doing a good job of being supportive from the sound of it.

    angie- I posted them a few comments above. FI is amazing and while he was in a tough spot- he really was so supportive. I can't wait to marry him :)
