Engagement Photos

We're planning on taking engagement pictures at the monuments.  Does anyone out there have suggestions on which monuments are the best for this? Thanks!

My favorite is the WWII memorial, but I think you should stay away from the war memorials. The Air Force monument in Arlington is very striking, and very beautiful at night. I think that would be a cool place for a photo or two. Other suggestions: FDR memorial (the fountains are gorgeous) and Teddy Roosevelt Island. TR Island has so much vegetation that it would be very scenic, esp. in fall.

I love the area around the Jefferson and of course the Lincoln. We got great shots there at night. Just be discreet or they will shoo you away! We didn't have any problems when we went to the Lincoln (that was the only monument we shot at).

We were downtown this weekend for our engagement pictures and took pictures at the C&O Canal in Georgetown, the Lincoln Memorial, the WWII memorial (great fountains!), the Korean War Memorial (great reflections in the "fountain" area) and then the reflecting pool.  We also took pictures over by Memorial Bridge - looking over the river.
