Registry...Home Depot/Lowes??

My FI and I have both been living on our own for over 10 years. We both have established households and more spatulas and towels than we need. What we need is light fixtures, rakes, light swtich covers, etc. Our families know this and would be more than happy to buy us these items. HOwever, I have heard that Home Depot's registry is only online and not connected to their stores. I also looked into Lowes and they no longer have a registry. Anyone know anything about this?

I'm not sure about those two, but I know Sears does gift registries.  They might be a good option for the items you're looking for too.

We tried to do Home Depot, and you can go to the store to register... but it is really weird.  You have to write down numbers, then they add them manually.  And it won't show up online.  We opted with Sears because of those issues and registered to tools and such there.  We didn't have a ton of stuff listed there, but Sears was great!

We used Sears for that kind of stuff (garden tools, wrenches, a belt sander, etc) along with a few odd household items (living room drapes, a wheeled cooler, handheld mixer, etc.). Sears was our 3rd registry, along with Amazon.com and Bed/Bath/Beyond. No complaints!Target or Walmart would carry those kinds of things, too, but I don't know if their registries are very easy to deal with.I don't know if Ace Hardware has a registry, but maybe worth asking?

We registered at Lowe's and didn't get one thing off of that registry!!! We also registered at BB&B and got lots of stuff from there. My recommendation - Sears.

I asked about registering at Home Depot and it wasn't best.  Like someone earlier said, you have to write things down then they enter it into the computer, but the registry is only avalible at the actual store you registered at.  So if you have a lot of people from out of town they won't be able to see it.

Thanks!  I will check out Sears- I never thought of them.  I am disappointed in Home Depot and Lowe's.  I really thought that having a registry there would be good business for them.  I guess I was wrong. :(
