receptions halls did you visit before you decided and how many times did you visit your hall before officially booking it?

    5-6 halls and went to my hall once.

    We went to our reception twice. Once just us, and then when we went to book it we brought my parents. We probably actually visited 5 places, but I called over 30 to get prices and info.

    Oh yes. I'm OOT so I didn't have the luxury to visit more than once. But my mom went back to check it out again. I must have called about 25 places to get prices too beforehand.

    6 or 7 different halls and visited my hall twice before booking....once myself with my parents and then again to show dh.

    I went to 5 places and only visited my place once before booking b/c it wasn't finished yet so no reason to go back until it was done

    FI and I went to 6 and decided on the last one we saw. We took his dad with us when we went to drop off the deposit so he could see it, and the manager gave the tour again for FFIL.

    We visited 5 reception halls total and went to the one we booked twice before we booked it.

    2, but I researched at least 10 places, but they didn't meet the criteria (maily budget) so there was no point in going to visit.

    I think about 8-9. I saw our venue once with my mom, and brought MH back along with the check for the deposit a second time.

    I think I visited 7 but researched many more. We went once and then had a tasting and booked.

    I think we visited 4, but it was possibly 5. We visited the woodcliff manor, liked it, went for a tasting, loved it, went back and then booked it.

    MH told me where he wanted to get married "someday"; though I researched/called many places, I visited our venue, the only room we were interested in was available for some May dates. Booked on the spot.I think we were there 3 times: booking, tasting & final meeting.

    I think we visited about 16 places.  We visited our place twice (once was a tasting) before going back to book it.

    Oh yeah, and I must have sent away for info from at least 40 places.  We were looking in NJ, the city, Long Island, Hudson River Valley, CT, RI or destination :)  So many places just weren't what we were looking for, but we knew when we looked at the venue we booked that it *was* what we were looking for.

    we visited a few and then got pickier with each visit. so 7 total and went to "the one" once.

    We definitely looked at between 10-15 places.  We looked visited The Rockleigh twice before signing the contact.

    We had a whole bunch of places we planned on visiting.  The first weekend, we scheduled to visit 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday.  When we went to the last one on Sunday, we stopped our search right there and booked the next day.

    About 10 - there were around 30 on our initial list but we ruled half of them out before even visiting once we narrowed down a bit on what we wanted. The place we chose was actually the 3rd we visited. We visited once just the two of us and then brought my parents there a week later. They loved it too, so we were sold!

    We saw about 6, and saw ours once. However, we had been to a wedding there before and had loved it, which is why we went there last.

    A lot, maybe 25? We called probably 40 in total, maybe more. I visited first with my mom, a second time with then-FI, then for the tasting and one last time for the deposit. After that, we went (I think) 2 more times for picking the menu, and dropping off the final payment. I wouldn't book a place without a tasting first, and we nixed one place because of how bad the tasting was, so it required a LOT of visits prior to booking.
