The Pavilion at Captains

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with or has been to a wedding at the Pavilion at Captains Golf Course? My fiance loves the course and prices look right, but there aren'y many pictures available from what I can find online. We will probably go a look at it in a couple of weeks but since my time on the Cape will be limited I'd love to get an idea ahead of time. Any info is appreciated! Thanks.

Hi again (I think I just chatted w/ you about the Chapel).  3 summers ago I worked as an event coordinator at the Captains. Not sure if things have changed :-)  Casual Gourmet used to be the only caterer allowed.  It's basically one room with a deck with views of the golf course. My parents are members of the club, and the told me that the Pavilion now has AC. That is great news!

Hi! i am getting married there next summer... it is very simple i love it! You have to use the casual gormet but they are great! they have been very easy to work with and if the weather is nice they have a beautiful deck.

Thanks for the responses. Do either of you know what they do about the cocktail hour if it rains? I know they said they have a deck for it, but after this summer and fall, I'll be going into everything assuming it will rain and then will be pleasantly surprised if it doesnt! My fiance is pushing for this one, because he likes the golf course. We haven't even seen it yet but are going next weekend.

If the weather is really bad, you will just be in the one room.  The only other space at Captains is the lounge area...  and that's pretty casual.  I would highly recommend looking at a handful of venues so you have a better basis from which to reach a decision.  For my wedding, the guys had a golf outing at Captains the day before the wedding (while the women got their nails done) so that is one other way your FI can incorporate a golf course into the wedding w/end.

I just looked at the Captains on Saturday.  Joe was a great help and made good suggestions...I'm a NYE bride and would have that issue of no area for a cocktail hour so it's not an option for us.  But they do have their lounge with snack bar (closed in the winter) off the lobby to the reception room that you could possibly use.  I think they also allow tents, but you would have to check. There are so many golf course on the Cape that if Captains doesn't suit you, there definately is another that will!  Good Luck!
