DOC

Hi Ladies, I NEVER post on here but I've found some fab inspiration from all of you! I just decided, like an hour ago, that I think I want a DOC. Just someone to help facilitate a smooth ceremony and reception, to help with herding guests and timing of big moments and to help collect everything at the end of the night. I've heard Danielle with Something Classic Events is good. Anyone have any other ideas? Is it totally insane of me to want to find someone for like $500 or less?! This is all totally new to me and ANY advice you have would be wonderful! Thanks!

I hired Danielle from Something Classic Events and I am glad I did. Granted my wedding is still 300 days away, but she is affordable and really listens well. Plus I saw many great recommendations for her on this board and she is affordable. Good luck to you.

I've been quoted at $2500... so I am not sure of your hopeful goal! granted in my town they are the only ones to choose from and its a resort...so who knows! I'd love to have one but at that cost we may try to stick to our event manager, venue assistance, and family! good luck to you! I'd love to hear if you find anything reasonable!

Melissa Horton - she is just starting out, very affordable, looking for experience, and is very organized and down-to-business: mandrewsr@yahoo.com.  She actually lies in COS, but came up to Longmont for our wedding. :)

I highly recommend having someone there for those little moments of chaos that appear. WE just had a friend of ours act in that role. She had done a lot of DOC work through college and worked with Spice of Life for awhile as well so we knew she could get things done. Even having her in an informal role was a life saver. She insisted on not receiving payment but we got her a couple great bottles of wine and a gift certificate to a local restaurant.

Danielle is above your budget but I have heard fantastic things about Lauren from Its Quinessential. KariMichael gave her an amazing review. Plus she is a total sweetheart!

I was originially getting married in November (but moved it to June) but I asked about off season rates.  Not sure when you are getting married but I assume 4/10.  Worth a shot to ask about.  I used Danielle with Something Classic Events too and she was awesome!!  I could not recommend anyone more.
