WWYD...about photographer

Ok, here's the situation.  We were married 17 months ago.  We still have not received our wedding album or any prints from our photographer, the package that we selected and paid for long ago.

Last year around this time they sent us our proofs on discs so we do have those.  They told us that the company they hired to do all of their albums had filed bankruptcy but they had found a new company.

So, the last time we heard from them was in August of this year.  They said we should have our album in 2-3 weeks.  Still nothing!  I have been emailing them at least once a week since then and they have not replied.

We know that they are still an active photographer because their facebook page is updated almost every day!

What would you do?  Its almost to the point where I want to contact Howard Ain!

Have you tried calling them instead of emailing? What about just going to their studio and walking in and asking face to face? How long ago did you pay for the album? Do NOT let this go on a day longer. Make every attempt possible to get answers from them and if that does not work, its time to take the next step - consider contacting a lawyer.

Are they still in business?  I agree, walk in there and demand some answers.  I would also document all correspondence and threaten legal action at this point.

Tell him to either deliver within the week you will report him to BBB and write completely unfavorable reviews on all the online chatrooms you belong to
That should speed up the process considerably!

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
Yes she is still in business, posting new pics on facebook everyday.
She doesn't work for anyone, so there isn't a studio to just show up at, she works out of home.

    Jennearston I PMd you

since she works from home, contact a lawyer and ask them to write a demand letter for you. filing a complaint through the BBB could be a good idea too, but i never had success with that. i wouldn't go warning the world about this photographer just yet (not saying that you've done anything wrong on this site), it could complicate things and/or make the situation worse.

lawyers can get expensive, but word of mouth will kill a business. You are very kind not to share--- just a suggestion, sometimes when you do post your unhappiness publically here, you will get a response. Just a thought. i would also love to know who it is. I would also try to call vs. email. Ask them to sign a contract with you to give it to you within X amount of days or add penalty. Let me know if you need any help... that sucks.
