Mendenhall Inn vs Concordville Inn

Was looking see if you have either been to or had your wedding at either place. I love them both but have to make a decision by tomorrow and I am torn between the Grand Ballroom at Mendenhall and the Gold Ballroom at Concordville. Please help....

I chose to go with Mendenhall - but also, Concordville wasn't available for my day. I think they both offer the same thing for the same price so it's really whichever venue you think looks better. I did the Gold Ballroom at Mendenhall - but usually the Grand Ballroom is the dealbreaker for a lot of brides. Sorry I can't help. GL.

Hi Maureen! I'm also having my wedding at the Mendenhall Inn. We went with the Grand Ballroom and I think it is beautiful! I wish you could make your decision after they 28th so I could give you a full review of my wedding experience!! I agree with PP, both hotels seem to offer the same - but I say, go with the Grand Ballroom! but maybe just because I'm partial

I've been to a wedding at the medenhall. It was really nice. Good food and a good time. Plus hotel rooms are right there. Don't know anything about concordville.

My sister had her wedding at Concordville and it was so beautiful! She was under her required PP, so they even gave us the frozen chicken for every person that wasn't there (we had to pay for it anyway, so it was really nice of them to give it to us). The hotel rooms are right behind the place, so that was really nice. I went to the tasting with my sister, and everything was soooo good. They had a really spacious bridal suite, and kept the HD's coming the whole night. They were all so good. I liked almost everything I tried at the tasting, and the cake that comes with it was great too. The place was just stunning, so I'd rec. that :-)

I am getting married in the Gold Ballroom at the Concordville in August. They are both beautiful venues, but I liked the more modern feel of the Concordville. Since their prices and packages are pretty similar, think of what ballroom you like better and can picture yourself in. We have alot of oot guests so the availability of more rooms at the Concordville was nice. Also, we liked the bar for the after party- a minor detail in the grand scheme of things but a factor to us! Either place is a good choice!!

Hey! I don't know if you had to call them yet with your decision, but PP reminded me - I forgot to mention the MH has a bar you can use until 12:30 after your reception that we will be taking full advantage of!! But I agree, look at both ballrooms and see what fits your theme/style best.

I had my reception at the Mendenhall Inn. We looked at both, but fell in love with the Grand Ballroom at Mendenhall. Concordville has the exact same menu and pricing is a tiny bit less, but the ballroom there wasn't as grand, I guess, as the Mendenhall. We also like the cocktail area better at Mendenhall - they provided cocktail tables as part of the package, whereas at Concordville you would have to rent them on your own. As a guest, I know it's much easier to have access to a table with all of the stuff you carry during the cocktail hour (purse, drink, food, etc.). One final thing, our visit with Mendenhall was much better than with Concordville. We got to Concordville for our tour, and they told us we could no longer see the ballroom because of a funeral luncheon. Then they put us in a room with a consultant and she had no idea what to do with us, so we just sat there for a while in awkwardness while she tried to review the packages with us (which we already looked over at home - we really just wanted to see the ballroom). So we left with a bad taste in our mouths. I'm sure every venue has blusters like that, but for us it was a deal breaker.

I have been to Mendenhall but I have been to Concordville for various events and their food is DELICIOUS. I loved their crab cakes - seriously, loved them.So if good food is a priority, I would keep them high on your list.

Seems like a lot of people have been to one or the other! I went to a wedding at Mendenhall and the food was reallygood. Sounds like you have a hard decision! Good luck.

I wanted Mendenhall (been to a few weddings and other functions there) but they didn't have my date. Checked out Concordville Inn but didn't think it even compared. I'd def go with Mendenhall. IMO.

Thank you so much everyone for all of your suggestions and help. I caleld this morning and booked with Mendenhall! So excited, really loved Concordville and had a great experience with the sales manager there. But something was drawing me to Mendenhall, I love the cocktail hour room, think it will give us great photo ops and I have this amazing vision of us walking down the stairs to the dance floor.
