Wedding Venues Help!

My fiance and I are planning for a wedding in June of 2012 for about 100people. Our budget is $7000 in total. We loved the Denada house but it is almost half our budget for just the rental! I want something as beautiful as the Denada but within our budget. Looking for Northwest suburbs. Thank you I appreciate all your help in advance :)

The suburbs + June will = $$, unless you are looking for a Friday or Sunday event.  I am not familiar with the Denada House, but if you are looking for simple country elegance you might want to look at the Country Squire in Grayslake.

The Byron Colby Barn, also in Grayslake, I think allows you to bring in your own food and beverage, and that may help you keep costs down somewhat.  I think the Vehe Farm in Deer Park also allows your own catering.

Although this is painted with a very broad brush, I believe most typical venues in the NW suburbs will be a minimum of $50 per plate.  For less than 100 guests, you might want to consider restaurants that have larger banquet and/or party rooms, such as Maggianno's, Millrose Brewery, or Wildfire.  Good luck.  If you can be more specific, I can try to offer more suggestions.  My daughter and I looked/investigated many NW suburban/Lake County venues.

Danada House = a little on the spendy side even for a Sunday or a Friday reception.

Maggiano's in Schaumburg has banquet rooms upstairs.  Went to a reception at Concorde in Lake Zurich/Deer Park (on Rand Rd) - food was very good but not sure what it cost per plate.

Hmmmm....interesting about Danada House - I was considering that as well - had some friends married there - I think it was on a Saturday, but they didn't rent the atrium, just the house. I have a lot of dancer friends and we need a large dance floor, so I'd need to have the atrium.

The rental fee for Danada House no matter what night (Fri, Sat or Sunday) is $3200. Also, I know that every Saturday from April through October in 2012 is already booked at Danada House as well, as they started booking for all of 2012 in November 2010. It's a little weird the way they book but we booked on November 1 because we didn't want to risk not getting the place.
