Invite Question

I have pocketfold invitations with a couple inserts (accommadations, rsvp, reception, and directions) and are sealed nicely with a belly band and monogram.  Would it be weird/wrong to place our registry info loosely into the envelope (not into the invite, but like behind it so the guests will see it when they open the outer envelope).  We do have a wedding website and the registry info IS on there, however, our website was only printed on the save the dates, and is no where on the invite inserts or anything (and I don't think a lot of people know about it because it's had like 3 visits lol).

On a side note:  The registry info WAS listed on the bridal shower invites (which went to the majority of the females invited to the wedding).  I just don't know if I should include the registry info cards (the ones they print out for you) in the invites as well.  Would people appreciate that or think it is rude?

Re: Invite Question

  • I would not include registry cards in your invitations. I would create a card for your website, though, if you're really worried about it. Vistaprint often has free business cards where you can upload your own design.
  • Etiquette typically dictates that there is no mention of the registry on any invite except a shower invite. I think that it's probably not necessary because a lot of people will give money for the wedding, and they probably have a general idea of where you are registered.
  • Ok, great, thanks!  I'll just leave it out.  I'm not going to make another insert because it was a pain to make the ones I have already and we already put together all the invites.

  • I agree, I would put an insert with the website again if anything.
