Venue dilemma....

Hello!
I am looking for a venue for my wedding. We havent set the date yet, but it will probably be early in 2013. I need help finding a great place for a reception that won't break my bank. We are both students, and we want to pay for most of the wedding on our own. We will have aroun 15 guests, and would like to keep everything under $10k. I know the Madison has great deals during winter, but I would like something a little more unique. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Wow, if your wedding is still 2 years out it might be a good idea to just wait a few months before booking anything. Just relax and enjoy being engaged for a while. Take time to look at places and dont worry so much about actually putting money down and booking something.

Also, I am assuming you meant to say 150 guests instead of 15?

I'm not gonna book anything for a while, I just wanted to get a couple of places in mind before I figure out the rest of the details.
And I did mean 150 lol

I am assuming you meant 150 guests- Look at the Bell Center on a Friday night- we had ours on a friday and got a great deal (wedding and reception there) and were able to do it under 10k for the 190 guess I had. I will tell you their service is amazing and their food is to die for. Great options all around.

The Nathanael Greene Lodge has great food and beverage prices and has a lot included in the rental fee.

I am getting married at Beckett Ridge Country Club.. It sits up in West Chester and has a view of the city lights. The prices are VERY reasonable! (however, I just booked with them so not sure yet with my ratings on experience :) )

What kind of unique look and feel do you want?  There's old theatres, museums, lofts, even nice rustic lodges or historic homes.  Those are all unique but different from one another.  Just give us more info and we'll give you more leads!

Our reception is at Voice of America Park in the Lakeview room. Although we are only having our reception there, they do have a place for an outdoor wedding. It's very reasonably priced, you hire your own caterer, but have to order alcohol/beverages through VOA.
