Cake recommendations

Hi ladies!
Has anyone worked with Frederick's Pastries or I Dream of Jeanne's cakes? I can't go with the vendor that my site recommends, and these two places came up in my search.
Thanks!

I've tried Fredericks-  and I'm not a big cake fan, but I ate (and alot of) their cake when we got my grandparent's anniversary cake there.

We used Fredericks as part of our venue package as my husband LOVES them!  Great cakes and reputation.

I also love Creative Cakes by Debby in Nashua.  Good luck!

I'm using Andover Cakes.  You should check them out!

I second Jacques.  I'm not sure where you are (it's about 15 mins off of Exit 13 in Concord), but they do an amazing job.  We have gotten many cakes from them for as long as I can remember, and my parents have been nothing but continually pleased.  This was one vendor we didn't need to shop around for!

I third Jacques, my grandparents' 50th anniversary cake came from them and it was incredible - so much so that my  mother splurged and got one for her birthday!

Both cakes were both delicious and BEAUTIFUL.  When there was a minor problem with the frosting on my mother's birthday cake (the red flowers tasted "off") she called them to let them know and not only did they follow up immediately with one of their manager/decorators, but they were extremely friendly and courteous the entire time.  The service provided definitely solidified my desire to have them make our cake!

    Thanks ladies!
It's actually Jacque's that I cannot use.  I spoke to them the other night at a bridal show, and they cannot and will not make any dietary considerations for anyone. I'm dairy allergic, and I have a BM with celiac (no AP flour) and a BM with a deathly peanut allergy (they don't have a peanut free kitchen).  They won't even try to make non dairy whipped cream, which Frederick's and I dream of Jeanne will do.
    I'll definitely check out Fredericks!

I would try Chickadee Hill Cakes.  She is so cute and sweet.  Her cakes are amazing too!

I would try Fredericks--they were our 2nd choice (after Jacques).

Oh no!  I'm sorry to hear they won't accomodate you.  Good luck with your search, I'm sure you'll find something acceptable and delicious!

Amelia, I was already considering making cupcakes myself for such a situation.  My FSIL also has a peanut allergy and I would hate to ask her to go without just because she can't eat our dream cake!  We're also having a lot of young kids at our wedding who may not be able to stay until the cake is cut and served, and cupcakes to make sure they'll get something won't be terribly much work!

Did you try creative cakes by debby? She makes fantastic cakes and she's so sweet.
