I found my shoes, love my shoes and yesterday I went to get my shoes...

I was informed by the store that they only sell them online and none in ivory.
I was further informed that the makers do carry them in-store...in NYC...4 1/2 hours away...for double the price.

The shoes cost about $100. So to drive 9 hours roundtrip not including the cost of a hotel to stay the night after a shopping trip, it would cost about $600 to get these shoes.

Back on the search for wedding shoes (thumbs down)...

Sorry! That really sucks! If you don't keep thinking about the shoes you should have had, you will find something awesome! (Change your mind set and you will find a ton of stuff you love!) If that makes sense.

I've been stuck on these shoes for 8 or 9 months now so it was just a little disappointing. New mindset and a new search tomorrow!

Yeah - or are they the kind of thing that people might sell new on eBay? I wear Danskos for work and I've bought a lot of new ones on eBay for quite a bit cheaper than you'd pay in the store.

I hadn't thought of that...maybe a trip to Ebay or Amazon might not hurt. I have to admit that I don't have any experience purchasing preowned shoes.

Per this thread (LINK), Rue La La got Kiwi a while back. Maybe they'll have it again.

Many people sell new shoes that just aren't comfy or exactly what they wanted. Preowned doesn't always mean used!

What size do you wear? Also, I see them in white a few places online, but not ivory. Are you sure they ever came in ivory? I'm seeing white, nude, raspberry, and black in my searches.

I got a great deal on my shoes at myglassslipper.com. I don't know much about designers, but I got a pair of $300 shoes for $69 because they were a discontinued style. Good luck!

Thanks for the link Claire; I tried to get on but I have to request a membership.

I've found some shoes in the Vera Wang collection at DB that I'm going to try on Saturday; I have a few pairs of Vera Wang shoes that I wear to work and for social events so I'm comfortable with that designer.
