I have heard mixed reviews about Target. I am already registered at BBB, but got an offer in the mail from Target. If I register for ten things I get a 25 dollar gift card. I am considering just doing a small one too at Target. If anything... at least I would get a gift card! LOL

We love ours. It was great for our shower and our guests said it was easy to follow. Wish I had gotten a gift card... Sad face.

FI's cousin got married last year and had registries at BBB, Dillard's, and Target. Target was the only one where she got duplicates (their system takes a while to update), and then she had trouble returning the duplicates. I know our Target has less than stellar customer service though.

I got the same promotion! I think I'm going to start the registry, add my 10 things, gift my $25 gift card, and then delete the registry/items on it. I've hear BAD stuff about Target registeries and I don't want to deal with it.

Two points. First, Target gets terrible reviews on here. I would avoid it unless you want to do the 10 item thing to get a gift card and call it a day. Second, as a guest I hate shopping off of target registries because inevitably most of the stuff isn't carried online, and usually the target I shop from has different merchandise than the one where the bride registered at. There will always be a few things available but often not things I want to buy. So I'd avoid them.

I was pretty irritated as a guest at a shower (baby) where I had purchased something for the mom on her registry from the target website. It apparently never updated to say I had purchased it and someone else bought the same damn thing from the ONLINE registry again.

I can understand if its a store issue not communicating with their systems correctly or taking time to update, but seriously, their system sucks.

I've said this before & I'll say it again: you will always find someone saying something negative about absolutely every registry. It does seem like more than the average have problems with the Target registry, but I had no issues. It worked just fine for us.

I'd go fo it! I had a Target registry and had absolutely no issues with it. No duplicates purchased and the couple things we did opt to return we had no issues with at all. The bulk of our wedding gifts (quantity wise at least) came from Target. Granted, I am from Minneapolis - the home of Target - and the store is loved in this area and the customer service at Targets here is second to none!

I received the same deal in the mail. Before we even went to put the items on our registry they gave us the $25 gift card. We even went back to add some other items and we have had no problems so far with it. I'd say, at least give it a try to at least get your gift card! It's like free money! We used ours to buys some items for the reception!
