Hi!

Hello ladies!
I have been lurking over here for a while, but I would like to come out of hiding and introduce myself before I just start writing on everyone's posts. My FI and I finally decided on a cruise out of Galveston for our wedding. I read through the post for newbies and lurkers, and I have to admit it is a daunting amount of information.

A little bit of info about us:
I am a mechanical engineer and my FI is a flight instructor and a soccer coach. We are 23 and 25 and have been together for three years. I look forward to getting to know all of you ladies!

I have some checks!

The biggie was venue. That was a huge relief to get off my back. We will be having the wedding on the boat right before we set sail out of Galveston.

Next check was the dress. It should be coming in tomorrow and I am really excited about putting it back on.

Did you get it in ivory and champagne? I absolutely love the contrast of the lace. Right now I'm trying to find jewelry to go with it. Have you started looking at jewelry yet? So far I am liking <a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/71955825/swan-lake-elegant-double-strand-necklace?ref=sr_gallery_21&ga_search_query=vintage+pearl&ga_page=3&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade" target="_blank">this</a> (<--clicky) the best, but I am kind of thinking about adding some lace flowers around the brooch.

I did get the ivory/champagne! I think that the all white or all ivory really understated all of the details and I wanted a statement. I haven't thought much about jewelry yet, although I have decided against a veil because I don't want the dress to be covered in any way. I'm going for a hair flower instead.

The necklace you've found is super beautiful! I think that I'm going to explore something along that route also.
