Need reviews of planners Gracie Lou, Eventfully planned, and Mikado weddings, and Couture Parties.

So I met with some great vendors this weekend can anyone help with a review of Gracie Lou, Mikado weddings, Couture Parties and Eventfully planned?  I am stuck and need help deciding.  What are your experiences?  Positives and negatives?  Anyone use Gracie Lou's graphic design services before?  They all seem super organized and really sweet!  I did some of my own booking already need creative advice and organization as well as someone who can get me really good deals with different Vendors.

I am using Gracie Lou for my 10.01.10 wedding. They have been nothing but delightful! They have been keeping me organized with everything I need to do--specifically around my timeline and are helping out with finding last minute rental pricing. I haven't used them for graphic design, but Liz has a love for font (just like me!) and I love the things they have done. Plus it's nice to know that there will be two lovely ladies I trust who have my back on the big day. Good luck!

Have you checked Wedding Wire for reviews on any of those vendors?

I met the lovely ladies from Mikado Weddings this week. They are relatively new but they show a great deal of professionalism and knowledge. They are also reasonably priced and are definitely on the top of my list for DOC. I was specifcally interested in their services because they are used to hosting big weddings and having an Asian background, I knew they would understand the cultural conflict and complexities involved in planning a Cambodian wedding.

I am meeting Gracie Lou Events Sunday. I remember another Knottie on here used them for her wedding at Venus de Milo in Swansea, Ma. Her username escapes me at the moment but she raved about them. I loved that they were able to work with my budget as I had not originally planned on using a DOC. I can't wait to meet them. It's going to be a tough decision to choose between the two.

honestly don't think you can go wrong between Mikado Weddings or Gracie Lou Events

I'm the Venus de Milo wedding. Adrienne and Liz were an amazing addition to our wedding day. They did SO MUCH as my DOCs, I cannot even list it all. They even attended my rehearsal and got comfortable with my wedding party. My bustle came apart quickly and MacGuyver with a needle, aka Liz quickly fixed it and sewed it up. They were always available to me and my bridal party, and that was a comfort. They also had the job of setting up all ball room décor and did so exceptionally. I cannot wait for my pro pictures to see it all again. They were amazing. I would recommend without reservations.

They went beyond any of my expectations, and worth more than their value in gold. My brother, the BM, needed some taming once in a while and even he comments about how wonderful they were at the wedding. I had a Dj/MC who could NOT pronounce my new last name right. Adi stepped in and took over MC duties. They went above, beyond and back again.

I used Jaime from Eventfully Planned. I could not have gotten through the day without her.  She took care of the decorating as we could not get into the venue until I was already in the church. She came to the rehearsal as well and kept the guys in line. Her husband even took photos during my cocktail hour and sent me a disc set to music. It was such a nice surprise.  Her DOC package also includes sandwich trays the day of the wedding for the wedding party. Her Facebook page currently is running a 10% special if you mention the ad.  Love her!

Do you think it would be worthwhile to hire any of them for DOC or full planning?

</div><div>Well that depends on how far along you are with the planning. I think if you did most of the leg work for researching and booking vendors but feel overwhelmed and need someone to finish what you started than a partial planner maybe the best fit. A full planner and partial planner will also keep you in check with your budget and they can definitely tie up any loose ends. A full planner is great if you have not started or done very little wedding planning. A DOC is perfect for the bride and groom who has done everything but want a stress free day.

I hired Jaime from Eventfully Planned as a full wedding coordinator for my August 7th wedding at the Renaissance Providence.  I honestly had such a fun, stress-free time planning because of her.  She was just what we wanted.  She was so nice, organized and really helpful and we found a bunch of vendors that we really loved through her.  She came with me to my hair trial and took pictures for me when none of my girls could make it.  Everyone in the bridal party loved her and still raves about her to me (even my Dad-which is so not like him!)  She also talked down our venue on price by a significant amount and pointed out several errors they made in pricing that would have cost us a bunch.  Even the day of, when my now-husband stepped on the back of my dress and tore my bustle, she was there on the floor pinning it up with all the safety pins she (thankfully!) brought...and I was happy and not worried at all, because I knew she was on top of it!  A full wedding coordinator isn't for everyone, but I am so glad we had Jaime there through the whole process.

I'd like to put in good word for Stephanie of Couture Parties.  I live overseas and she was a huge help to me - I would have  been lost without her hard work.  Along with my mom I booked the vendors but in the weeks coming up to the wedding and especially the weekend of the wedding Stephanie pulled everything together and actually made it work.  When I look back there would have been so many mishaps if we hadn't worked with Stephanie - from something as basic as being the only person who could bustle my dress to noticing that the count given to the florist for centerpieces was wrong (whoops, bad bride!) and coming up with a solution on the spot, she covered more bases than I can count.
She seemed to be everywhere - delivering programs and copies of the vows to the church, at the back of the church directing my nephew the ring bearer up the aisle, setting up the decor at the reception and managing the reception from start to finish.  I enjoyed the entire day and never even noticed the potential mishaps - she had everything covered.  I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Good luck in making your decision - I'm sure you'll have a wonderful day!
