  Hey Tam!!!!!! Time is definitely winding down. I am ready to get everything over with because I AM TIRED OF SPENDING MONEY!!!!!!!!!!! We have everything done almost. We have a couple of small (and I mean very small) things to do but a week or so before the wedding we wil be chilling. I am so excited. We were suppose to go get the marriage license the other day but FI didn't get back in time before it was time for  me to go to work so I think we are just going to go ahead and go after we meet with the cake person on Tuesday. We also have to get the liquor license. I guess we will go ahead and get that done too since we have to go through the county. We went today and purchased the champagne for the reception (got an awesome price on the case as well as a 10% discount). You gotta go check out Total Wine if you plan to get champagne for your reception. They have awesome deals. We also purchased our cake plates and forks. Candy for the favor boxes, little trinkets for the flower girls as part of their gift bag they will be receiving, went to Hobby Lobby to rent the arch we will be using at the church. Decorating it is going to be interesting. I wonder what the heck the planner will be saying about that. FI and I take our new e-pics on Sunday. I wanted new pictures because we plan to do a slide show at the reception. I also wanted to have a large picture of us over the fireplace at the reception venue. So I am pretty excited about taking the pictures and seeing how they turn out. I think that is about it for now. I just wish the 25th would hurry up and come on. How is your planning going?

  Oh I forgot, thanks for your concerns and well wishes. Von is holding up pretty well to be honest. Everyone is really. Thanks so much for asking. And you know I am going to keep in touch with you. Just because I will be married don't mean I will disappear. I formed a bond with a lot of you ladies and I want to see you all through your journey.

  Dag I forgot to tell you about the MOH... Well I decided to go with another stylist. She came back to me and said you could have had the appt at 8. And my comeback was, I should have had it all along, I am the Bride, not you. You can get ready whenever, but I have more prep work than you do. She apologized though so its all good.

  Well, I'm glad that the MOH got some act right.  I was beginning to worry about her health and safety 'cause you strike me as the type of sistah that don't play!  LOL  And I'm glad to know that Von and the rest of the family is holding up pretty well.  Man, I can't believe you're not going with the real touch flowers.  But if you found a better deal, that's the way to go.  What are you going to do with the flowers after the wedding?  Our DOC is donating them to a nursing home.  I'm glad that you reminded me about the damn liquor license.  That's the other thing I have to do.  I have to go get my criminal background check on Monday since I have the day off.  I can't believe how expensive all of the little things are.  The ABC permit is $50 itself, but then you have to get a criminal background check which is $25, then you have to get the damn application notorized which costs (luckily for me I work with a lady that is a notary public) and then you have to get a certified check or money order.  Ridiculous!  Yeah, I plan on checking out Total Wine and More for my champagne.  I'm not even really getting much liquor.  Just enough for the signature cocktail.  The rest is just wine and champagne.  I purchased the wine from Harris Teeter.  They usually have their 15% off a case of wine sale.  I need suggestions on a siggy cocktail.  I plan on posting my question.  Can you ask Alfdallas for me.  I'm not on facebook.  My colors are fuchsia, navy blue, and silver.  I want something fuchsia I think.  What do you suggest?

  Oh!  And how did you decide to wear your hair?  I think I'm going with an updo like we talked about.  I think that if I did that half up half down thing I'm asking for trouble.  So, what are you getting your flower girls?  I don't have a clue when it comes to that.  I think I'm just going to get them some little necklace and earring set.  And as for your planner and decorating the arch, she better not start no shyt!  I'll come down there, damnit!  I feel you on the whole taking new pics.  I think I told you that a friend of mine took pics of us at a historic site in Winston Salem, but I've decided to take pics with our photographer to get a feel for working with her before the big day.  We are taking pics at a vineyard, in keeping with our theme.  I had to wait until the grape vines grow back.  I'm stressing a little because the photographer said that she's taken pictures at the vineyard we're going to and she said the won't charge to use their space for pics, but when I called them they said they do.  We may have to find another location.  But FI is all, it'll be fine.  He's so annoying at times. LOL.But so to answer your question about how my plans are coming along, they are coming along pretty well,  I'm just slacking on these invitations.  I don't know.  I just don't feel like doing them.

  The flowers: My ceremony flowers are the real touch flowers. Just my centerpiece flowers will be real. Girl don't trip I done paid for those flowers already and they are on the way. I got the shipping info yesterday. It was the real flowers for the centerpieces that I got a better deal than with the faux flowers this go round. The lady who did the bouquets and stuff charges too much to do centerpieces. I would have had to pay another $300 for her to do those and they aren't even real. No ma'am. I saved myself a good $175 by ordering real flowers and putting the centerpieces together myself.

  
  

  I got the flower girls and herald jewelry, cute little denim purses (they gonna think they grown lol), an activity set consisting of coloring book and crayons, lip gloss, little mirror, I  have pink shirts with their roles in the wedding on the front to wear to the rehearsal. They are cute. I will take pics at the rehearsal.
  
  The bridal party will have their jewlery, a tote, mirrored compact with their initials, and a thank you note. Them heffas don't deserve anymore than that. Neither one of them were much help at all. I was not going to give them anything but their jewlery at one time lol.
  
  You have to get a criminal background check in order to get an alcohol permit? Are you serious? I gotta check that out for Mecklenburg County. I didn't have to do that when I got married the first time. WTH!

  
  

  Whew just called Charmeck 311, I gotta contact the head office on Monday to see what is required. They didn't tell us we had to go through all that here in Mecklenburg County when we booked the facility so I will see what's what. It ain't no big deal but daggone $25 for the app then pay the $52 for the permit and another $8 to get the thang notorized. Are you serious?
  
  I will contact Alf tomorrow and see what she can come up with for you. girl she did her thang for us. I can't wait to see what our siggy drink taste like. I know it is a Orange Margarita type but what the heck do I name it?

  
  

  As for my hair I am doing an updo. It is going to be hot and I be darn if I am going to be sweating with that half up half down stuff. I want it all up. I am going by the salon tomorrow to chat with my stylist about everything. She is so excited. This chick can throw down on some hair. I know she is going to make it fly as ever. I can't wait.

  
  

  As for what I am going to do with those flowers after the wedding, I have no clue. I know they ain't staying in my house. I will see if another bride can use them or my planner take them and create something for another bride. Who knows, who cares as long as they don't go home with me. I am keeping my bouquet though and having it put in this presentation box sometime after the wedding. but that's it.
