Outdoor Ceremony by Asbury Park?

I'm getting married in Asbury Park this summer. I'd love to have an outdoor ceremony with a view of the ocean, but having it on the sand would pose a problem for some of my older guests.

Does anyone know of a public spot on the boardwalk or maybe a park with an ocean view nearby?

You can contact Convention Hall to find out about where you can have your ceremony- http://www.apboardwalkvenues.com/convention-hall.shtml.

You can also check Ocean Grove next door to find out about using the Boardwalk Pavillion for your ceremony (http://www.ocean-grove.com/ocean-grove-town-information.shtml). I believe it survived the hurricane OK.

Bradley Beach has a really beautiful gazebo set-up with benches on their boardwalk. I know they do hold weddings at it. Contact the town hall to find out how to reserve it (http://bradleybeachonline.com).

Just keep in mind anywhere you hold your ceremomy in a public place in the summer risks having uninvited guests in the background. It you're ok with it, then go for it!
