  It took me awhile to figure it out too, it's hard to that kind of stuff on here.

  
  

  When you are on the main page of the knot there is a bar that pops up at the bottom with your name, count down to your wedding date, my knot my checklist, etc.  If you click on your name (it's in bold 'Hi yourname') it will take you to a page where you can make a Bio, create a countdown ticker, put up your wedding colors, pictures of you and your fiance, and create bride badges.

  also, when you get the code for it you need to copy it.  Then click on the link above your picture, it says 'edit your avatar & sig' then paste it in the signature box, that's how you get it to show up when you post on the message board.
