Rehersal Dinner

Hey Ladies,
Just wondering what everyone has decided to do for their rehersal dinners....it's about that time for me to make some decisions. Let's see what you're all doing.

Re: Rehersal Dinner

  • I voted have someone host it for us at a restaurant/bar, but thats only bc FI's parents are paying for it.
I reserved the restaurant and am sending out the invites, they are just footing the bill!

  • We still need to choose the restaurant we're having it at (leaning towards Italian family style), but we will be hosting it.  We probably won't send out formal invitations; email or a handwritten note (to those without email) will be enough.
  • We're hosting pizza and beer. Just have to figure out where it's going to be. Our apartment is too small as is the FILs. My parents live just outside of town so that's not really convenient either. I'm thinking a park or something, but we shall see.

  • We're having pizza, wings, potato wedges, etc brought into the church common room right after the rehearsal. We will also have beer available but we have to drink that in the pastors back yard to get around the "no alcohol in church" rule.

  • We're doing a meal in the Church's reception hall after the rehearsal.

  • FILs are hosting at a pub/restaurant they go to all the time.

  • My parents will be hosting the rehersal dinner at their home.  We are going with an Italian theme.  Regular and veg lasagna, salad, Italian cookies, etc.

  • My FIL's are hosting the rehearsal dinner at an Italian restaurant near the wedding location.

  • We are hosting it at our house and we are making lasagna and salad with beer and wine.  We have a good size backyard and hopefully the weather will be nice enough for everyone to sit outside.

  • We're paying for it so we're technically hosting it. We're just having Fazoli's cater in a couple types of pasta some salad and bread sticks. If I remember right its about $300 for around 30 people. Rehearsal is super low key and RD will be in the fellowship hall of the church.

  • My FILs  will be hosting the rehearsal dinner.  We have decided to hold it in a smaller room at the venue.  It will be a buffet and obviously different food than the reception. We thought this was the most convenient option since everyone would be there already.

  • FI's parents are hosting our rehearsal dinner at an Italian restaurant near our blocked hotels. We picked the restaurant and made the reservations, but they are paying for the dinner. Technically, I suppose we should call it something other than a rehearsal dinner. We won't be having a rehearsal, since our officiant doesn't do them, but we wanted to gather our group the night before to celebrate.

  • We're just doing pizza, salad, and soda at an italian restaurant near my parents' house in our town. The restaurant has a bar if anyone wants beer or wine, but we aren't providing that.

  • FIs stepmother said a long time ago that she plans on hosting it but I honestly have no idea what she is planning. Which concerns me quite a bit. But I guess its not really my place to say anything I guess, so I don't know!
  • We're having ours at the venue of the wedding.  It was just easier since everyone will already be there for the rehearsal and it cuts down on people getting lost or being late.  We're having a BBQ (hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, chicken, etc.).  It's going to be awesome...very casual.

  • We are hosting our own! We decided to go two our favorite restaurant! We are only having our parents, bridal party, and pastor go so we can afford it. Its only going to be around 20 people! I can't wait the count down has already began! :)
  • FI's parents are paying and its going to be at a nice small restaurant (though bigger than the previous venue they had booked as there are about 85 people invited...yikes!).
  • FIL's are hosting a shrimp boil at their home. It will be nice not to be in a restaurant with how many people and kids we'll have there.
