DJs that spin

If we're paying for a DJ, FI really wants one that will actually "spin," i.e., fuse the songs together, do his (or her ;)) own mixes, etc., much more of a club like atmosphere.

Do any in Seattle fit the bill? Price is not a huge concern, but if it comes down to someone just picking the right songs to play, we'd rather go much cheaper at that point.

I've asked for quotes so far from Bamboo Beats, Austin Beaver, Chris Graves, and the Sound Factory (Robert O'Shaughnessy), so would also appreciate feedback on those guys as well.

Bamboo Beats spins and is awesome, totally worth the money.  I think 3 or 4 girls on here have used them and everyone loved them.  Especially if you're into music and don't want a standard wedding play list.  Also, Jo Jo (his wife) comes and makes sure everything runs smoothly.  I think their packages start at $1250.

Some of the DJs for Sonic Entertainment do -- and I think a few even scratch :). They don't bring vinyl, but these days DJs can get these electronic turntables and hook them into their mp3 collection. Ours did but I would talk with the owner to see who can fit the bill.

I'm a Bamboo Beats girl - used them for my wedding summer '09 and loved them.  DH felt the same way about finding a real DJ and someone who knew a lot about music.  They were awesome!
