I have a diy kit for my invitations, and I just finished printing the RSVP cards and the return envelopes.  I have a great computer program, and aweful handwriting,  Would it be ok to print the outer envelopes too, with the same fonts/images, or do they need to be hand written?

    Sticklers for etiquette will say that invitations should always be handwritten.  However, I think that if you print directly on the envelope and use a nice (but easy-to-read) font, you are fine. I personally do'nt like the look of mailing labels, but I think printing on the envelope is fine.

    I think you're fine as long as you print directly on the outer envelope. And your stationery looks very nice!

    I personally think handwritten is more personal, but I don't think there would be anything wrong with printing directally onto the envelope, especially since you don't like your handwriting. Is the pretty design printed on the envelopes too? If is is I think that will look really nice.

    I think printing on envelopes is okay.  I am handwriting my outer envelope addresses, but FI is printing our addresses on the RSVP envelopes.

    Your RSVP cards are SO CUTE btw!!  Love them! :)

    thanks ladies!  I got the diy kits at Hobby Lobby...I love them because 1) we had a bogo deal, so managed to get everything we needed for 22 dollars and 2) we can make each invitation personalized, but they still look professionally done.  Here's a pic of the RSVP envelope
