Need decoration ideas for outdoor cocktail hour

Hello, I need some creative ideas on how to decorate the outdoor tables for my cocktail hour, cant really use candles because it is outdoors and there will still be a lot of light during this time, and my florist is charging a lot for small flower arrangements. Thanks

    Pumpkins might work.  My FI and I discussed placing bales of hay around the perimeter of our outdoor cocktail hour.

    You could also place baskets on the table and fill them all with something different.

    Fun/silly pictures of you and your FI could be a crowd pleaser.

    Do you have anywhere you can hang paper lanterns - these always look great and for the tables maybe clear vases with some floating flowers.

    We used mason jars with candles in them (a little sand in the bottom to hold the candle in place) and we put wildflowers in mason jars ourselves. 

    You could use fruit, pictures, small potted flowers....
    We're currently on a 15 month trip around the world!

    What about a lantern with a candle in them?  I got some nice ones from Ikea for about $4 each.

    We are using mason jars with candles in them for the outside tables.  Our reception site has a deck in back with picnic tables etc.  Nothing too extravagant.
