Hey Knotties its been a minute since I have posted here. But let me get to the point....my wedding has been canceled, postponed what ever you want to call it. We called it off a little over a month ago and it has taken me this long to deal with it.
I have to thank Cha for coming to Baton Rouge to meet me for Sushi and talk time...I felt a million times better after talking to her..Bo, Tash, Mari and Miyah were there for me too...For my knottie sisters that have been here for a while with me know that his house has been a major issue in our planning to get married. And it still is...Quick recap: His house was built with chinese drywall became part of a lawsuit in 2010 (which cancelled our first initial planning) went through litigation all of 2011 then 2012 they began rebuilding his home. In 2012 we planned to just go ahead and plan the wedding and I got my ring in 2012. Well his house was supposed to be completed in Oct 2012 and that didnt happen then they told him November 2012...still no go. I had to go back into a lease on my apt for 7 months in December. His lawyer found out that he wasn't back in his home and informed the contractor that they breached the lawsuit. For everyday past Oct 24, 2012 that he is out of his home they owe him money. They said they would finish the house but they weren't paying him the extra settlement money. So his lawyer sued again. Now his house was completed Jan 28, 2013. I have contacted all vendors and informed them of the cancellation. I am upset behind the moving back of the marriage NOT the actual wedding reception. I have offered to him to do something smaller, change venues, all of that but he won't agree to it because he says that is not what he wants for me....(slight eye roll). I did ask him if he really did want to get married and he said yea...I guess God has something different in store for us...As of today we have no alternative date....
I miss you all it was just really hard to come here and know I am no longer planning a wedding. But I am still excited and happy for you all.
Much Love,
Case
