Hair/Make Up Recommendations in the Plymouth Area

Hi ladies,

I am a MI native, but live in Chicago now. I'm getting married in June at the Inn at St John's in Plymouth. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for hair/make up in the Plymouth area. I haven't decided if I'd like to have someone come onsite to St. Johns or if I'd go to the salon, open to either option depending on timing/cost.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated since I don't have any network for this in MI already!

Hey we are in the same boat! I'm getting married there in July and I know nothing about whats around there. I've heard about bridesmaid beautiful and brides on location, but that is all i know. Let me know what you find out!

Hi ladies! I just booked The Makeup Loft for my wedding. They're located in downtown Plymouth and do onsite hair and makeup for a reasonable cost. The owner Janelle is great and I completely trust her and her team to create a flawless hair and makeup look for me after seeing unretouched photos of past brides and bridesmaids who looked amazing. To give you an idea on timing, Janelle said it would take about an hour and a half to complete 4 people getting hair and makeup done and 1 person getting only hair done. Last April I was MOH in a wedding that used Bridal Beauty on Location, also located in downtown Plymouth. They did a good job at a reasonable price (I think they were slightly less than The Makeup Loft) and I think it took about 2 hours to do 3 hair and makeup and 1 hair. Having them come to our hotel before the wedding was definitely less stressful than heading out to the salon and the whole morning just felt more relaxed.

We had Bridesmaid Beautiful do our hair and make-up for the wedding. They came to the hotel, which was really nice and relaxing. They are also very quick...so quick that I was in a panic up until they were half way done with everything. Between 11:30 and 1:10, they did 6 updos and an airbrush make-up application with 2 people. And one of those updos was a last minute add on for my MIL. My hair did not move all night and my make up was still in place the following morning.

Also, good choice on your venue, it was one of our top two choices and I still wish we had gone with them.
