What do you all think? I'm REALLY nervous about them!!

Peter, I never believed soul mates actually existed until I met you. The idea of someone matching you so perfectly that they completed you, seemed a far fetched fantasy, not something that happened in real life. Little did I know, on that fateful night in October, in trailer 11 at Franklin Pierce, that my theory on soul mates and my life would be forever changed.

If someone had told me then that the guy wearing shorts in October, in New Hampshire, was the man I would marry, I would have called them crazy. But for the past 7 and a half years you’ve made me happier than I ever could have dreamed possible. From day one, I’ve always been able to share anything with you, and now I can’t wait to share the rest of my life with you.

Through good times and bad you’ve always been my rock. You’ve loved me and challenged me and made me a better person, and I promise to do the same for you. I promise to encourage and nurture your dreams, as you have always encouraged mine. I promise to continue to learn and grow with you every day. I promise to laugh with you when times are good and stand by you when times are rough. I promise to be the loving, patient, understanding and supportive partner you’ve always been for me. And most importantly, I promise to love you every day.

That sounds so beautiful! I don't know how long vows typically are (ours are fairly generic, taken from Ruth 1:16) but it seems kind of long. Maybe just the length of one of those paragraphs? I would ask your officiant how long your vows should be. You're gonna be struggling through them anyway, so it'll take longer to get through than it does to read them right now.

They are beautiful. I really love your third paragraph

We wrote our own vows as well, and I agree with PP, that yours might be a little long. I only say that because I made a last second decision and skipped part of mine because I was so nervous reading them. Plus, afterwards, both Zach and I agreed that we had a hard time concentrating on what the person was saying anyways so we re-read our vows to eachother once we got back to the hotel room.

Thanks ladies!

It takes me about a minute to read them out loud. I don't know if that's too long and I can't ask our officiant as it's a friend! Maybe I'll just say the last paragraph. I might play it by ear depending on how emotional I am.
