So, after a visit to the doctor for a freak glue gun burn - the first of 6 rosette/name hangers is done.
So as a quick how it was done -
1.) 14 gauge steel wire from Home Depot was bent an shaped by hand into my MOH's name.
2.) I cut 1in by 8in simple black cotton fabric. I folded it in thirds and glued the sides down. After twisting the fabric loosely to give shape, I spun the fabric into rosettes and glued the open end to the bottom.
3.) Crimped the end of the wire and wrapped it around the groove in the hanger.
4.) Placed and glued the roses on while "smooshing" them together (I love that word ;P)
5.) Added a double tied damask ribbon to tie in our wedding pattern.
I plan on making each of the following: Jacquelyn (BM), Medleigh (FG), Mrs. LaRochelle (Me!), Mother of the Bride, and Mother of the Groom still. The party will be black, mine will be white, and the moms will be green (our 3 colors). Medleighs will also incorporate extra flowers as she loves them
