Save the Date Cards

Does any one have any suggestions for affordable save the dates? If I have a friend design them, where is a good place to have them printed?

I had mine printed at Office Max. I brought the picture file on a flashdrive that they plugged into one of their computers in the copy/printing cente.r They printed it on heavier paper and then let me use their paper cutters to trim them to size. We had two printed per sheet of 8.5x11. The cutting was a little tedious, but it saved us some money so it was worth it. It was a little under $100 for 50 sheets of paper (so 2 STDs per paper).

You could do them through Vistaprint using either a Standard or Oversized Postcard. You would just upload the picture (if your friend creates it) and size it accordingly.

I used Vistaprint.com and got postcards.  You can use their designs or I'm pretty sure they also let you upload your own.  If you google them you can usually get 100 postcards for free.  Or if you sign up with them they will email you offers like that every couple days.  Then you just pay shipping and for any extras.   Many of the girls on the DIY board use them.

I also used vistaprint. They are always putting out deals for 100 free cards; just sign up at their site and they will send you coupons for it. We used VP and loved what we got.

I just used shutterfly's picture cards. I think they were ten cents a piece when all was said and done.

Another vote for VistaPrint.  We ordered them from there on a coupon and paid $18 for shipping (I rushed it.)  They were weird and cut off kind of awkward on the edge, so I called. They redid them and mailed them to us again for free (overnight or 2-day shipping I think.)

    They looked great!
