Theatre Style Venues

My Fiance and I, huge movie and theatre fans, decided a theatre style wedding was best. Our first option was a library, but we can not seem to find a library that is large enough (and within our budget for our wedding party 200+)
I was wondering, if there is anyone within the Chicago suburbs who knows of a nice theatre we should look into. We are having a budget wedding, but the Rialto in Joliet quoted us $8000 for a saturday wedding with 200+ people. (includes marquee message, open bar, ceremony and reception rentals, audio system and manager)
We are hoping to find a better deal.

Have you considered any college/university campus locations? I know
that the University of Chicago has theatre rooms available for events as well.

Actually, $8,000 for the Rialto is not a bad deal at all. However, if you have your reception in their lobby, it get's very loud and echo's alot!

Try the Tivoli in Downers Grove and there is another in Elmhurst too. I tried the Arcada in downtown St. Charles too but we decided to go with a different type of venue.

Second the Tivoli.

Not a fan of the Arcada. I've worked there a couple times and they are not pleasant to deal with.

Have you called the Paramount in Aurora?

There was a place in West Dundee near the river, but I can't remember the name.

Can the Tivoli really do weddings? I suddenly feel like I've missed out on something wonderful.

You should check out Drury Lane in Oak Brook. I'm just not sure if it would be a huge cost savings over the Rialto.

You could also look into the Mayslake Peabody Estate, also in Oak Brook. They frequently have plays performed in the event hall, and so may be able to give you a "theater style" setup. This place is generally just gorgeous, though!
