EEK..so i totally just was browsing the other boards out there and eek..glad I only post here...cuz im sure id be slaughtered cuz we only have 80 chairs and approx 120 guests (if everyone shows..and already confirmed not all)..so prolly more like 100-110...for our ceremony...(and 2 confirmed wheelchairs)

Do i feel bad that some will have to stand? yes but everyone knows its at a campground and outdoors so if they choose to wear heels and complain? I dont care sorry...call me a B..but it wasnt my money paying for chairs and all FIL's would do was 80 chairs and assured us its fine...

Sorry..just a worry and rant I had to do...

At H's cousin's wedding last September, she didn't have enough chairs for the ceremony (I think about 50 people were left standing). I never heard anyone complain. All of the older guests were able to sit and the younger ones stood in the back. I know it's not popular opinion, but as long as it's a shorter ceremony, I don't think it's a huge issue. Plus what's done is done...don't stress too much about it!

Speaking of the other boards, I totally agree with you! Someone posted about The Nest earlier today and Nesters came out of the woodworks (NOT May 2012 brides) and were posting really nasty, mean things on THIS board. I found it completely uncalled for and was so offended that they would stink up this friendly board with their drama!

I think as long as your ceremony is short (10 mins) you should be fine.

I thought most of the names didnt look familiar, while they might have valid points, this board is ours, and for us to speak our opinions and react in our ways, and I am gratefull that its usually very drama free, and even when being corrected people are usually nice about it, That thread was rather un-may 2012 like wasnt it.

I couldnt get to sleep last night I was so worked up about it. I love coming to this board to let off steam and get friendly advice from ladies just like me- to come across that and to be continually attacked was so upsetting! I know I'm letting them get to me, but HELLO! WEDDING STRESS! Plus, where the heck are the moderators when you need them?!

It was seriously weird. I know we discuss some asinine things on here, but I don't know about you ladies but that's why I come to this board!! Do I think anyone else cares about stupid details regarding my wedding? No! So instead of bugging them, I bug you!

I don't know why people think they can be so hurtful just because they're on the internet.

And saying that planning a wedding shouldn't be stressful is b*llsh*t! I plan events as part of my job and it's stressful!! Anytime you're trying to coordinate that many people it's a PITA, even more so when you're so emotionally (and financially) invested.

THIS!! i totally agree with you! i was taken aback by their childishness!!

anyways, as for the chairs, i really don't think people will say anything or even notice for that matter... they'll be too focused on you two!! don't stress....
