I've come into a situation where I have two wedding dresses. (I know "boo hoo", right?! lol) I originally bought a gorgeous gown from David's Bridal. It's a white A-line with lots of beading, pulls in at the waist to flatter that, and has a very full skirt. The veil is also ridiculously awesome, waist-length, double-layered with a beaded scalloped edge.
Then, recently, with very little warning to myself and my Mom herself...my Mom went into business with a friend and opened a bridal store about one month ago! They are doing consignment dresses from brides that have already worn it once and it's still in good condition and they are also consigning brand new dresses from other stores. I went to visit and just for fun tried on some dresses and found a gorgeous, brand new James Clifford dress. It's completely different. Ivory, with angled beading, and angled ruffles at the bottom with a very slim skirt. The veil with it is also double layered, waist-length with a simple ivory ribbon.
I love them both. I currently "own" them both. I have to give one back and it doesn't matter at all money-wise which one I give back because the way the consigning works for them, the DB dress will cover their cost for the James Clifford dress (which is a $1500 dress vs. a $550 dress, not that the dress price matters to me in terms of which one I wear, I just think it's interesting how the consigning works out).
I would like opinions. They are both beautiful and both so very different styles that I'm having trouble choosing.
