Must-Have Photos

I'm trying to compile my list of must have photos. Can you all show some of your favorite pictures from your weddings? I know all the usual ones (couple with bridal party, families, etc.) But I want to see other stuff.

So what were your favorite pictures from your wedding? Or are there any pictures you wish you could have gotten?

A pic of the dress hanging up before you put it on:

A pic of your shoes/accessories:

The all important reception exit/bubble picture

The putting on lipstick in a mirror picture

Some cute informal pictures of you and your wedding party (girls/guys) are good too

Cake cutting

I think if you put a lot of work into DIY projects or just a lot of thought into your wedding look the photographers should capture all your details, centerpieces, bouquets, etc. Especially if you want to submit your photos to magazines or The Knot afterward!

Pictures of toasts are good because they're usually good "reaction" shots especially if the toasts are especially touching or funny:

The one thing I did notice about our ceremony pictures is that they are kind of BORING! Hahaha. I mean, aside from the walking down the aisle and the first kiss it's a bunch of pictures of us standing there. The pictures are nice but we have so many that are just like this:

Our photogs got all the important moments but I always skim through the ceremony pictures when I'm looking at wedding pics. I think the ceremony is much more important for your videographer because they're actually capturing your vows as you said them.

Our favorite picture is in my siggy. We didnt do traditional pictures, because we had no guests. So we did a 3 hour photo shoot, and we still talk about pictures we wish we could have gotten and some places we should have stopped.
I'm gonna be like MrsJesse now.

I would suggest getting pictures of your guests and family too. Other than the group shots I don't really have many pictures of my grandparents, aunt/uncle, etc.

Oh yeah, and first look shots are a must.

My stoic manly Marine saw me walk out from behind the screen and lost it. Poor guy.

Right now, she's eating/dropping cheese in her seat. I guess that's better than feeding it to the cat, which is what she was doing.

I wish we had all of our pro pics back because I can't post my top 3 favorties until then but here are a few of my favorites of the ones we do have.

Hugging my dad when I first saw the reception venue before getting ready to put my dress on

My mom tying up my dress

Opening my gift from DH

Our officiant saying a prayer before beginning the ceremony

A kiss as we exit the chapel on the way to the reception, I love that it's through an open door with the other closed

My mom and dad laughing/being embarassed during the BM's speech

A close up during our first dance

Sorry most of them are in black and white! I can't wait to get the rest back!
