In celebration of my 1,000 post landmark - and because I'm bored - I decided to go back through my own post history and see what my first post was like.
It makes me wonder how I survived.
My first very own thread regarding how to properly incorporate camouflage in to a wedding....

And my first advice that I gave any bride started off with the famous "it's YOUR wedding..." line. Oy.

OK now it's your turn... 'fess up!! Show me your newbie selfs!
Re: Reminiscing...
My first posts are lost to the sands of time, sadly. I do know my first question ever was about having a surprise wedding back when H(erbert) thought that was the greatest idea in the history of awesome ideas. Yeah. We didn't.

I can't get back to my first post, but I know it was asking about who should walk me down the aisle.
I had a friend who had a surprise wedding once... it happened during half time of the superbowl at his own Superbowl Party. It was hilarious.
I'm still going thru the posts to find the first time I got flamed... I'm sure it's in here somewhere.

And uh... I really really don't want to talk about my start here. I like cheese!
[QUOTE]Haha moose the camo thing happened on the Attire board, which is probably how I got away with that one. I think if I did it here, I would have been crucified. Yes, well, I prefer to leave my first flaming where it is. It was hilarious and completly uncalled for and perpetrated by one person who appeared to be unhinged. It just doesn't need a replay.

I have no idea what my first post was, and like the others, it was lost to the board format change.
When exactly was this big board format change? Obvs it was before I got here... but it was just sometime at the end of last year right?

My first post was asking for help picking out shoes, I think.
My first reply was to someone asking for diet advice. I was really nervous.

The boards used to be a little different. People had balls. Blue ones, actually.
I think the first FFF I witnessed had someone call out PP for being rude to me, but saying I, the newbie, "took it like a champ" or something along those lines. I felt a deep glow of happiness.
Omg how could I forget my first FFF? I was sitting right here at work when it started, and I had absolutelynofuckingclue what was going on.

My first flaming and post was kicking out a BM, and almost every poster took me to task because of my age and that's why I was kicking her out. NO ONE was reading that I was not the one causing all the drama, but the second I answered the age question, I was screwed.
This was before we were using the line, "if you're ok losing the friendship. . ." because I was and it did and it worked out fine. We were still spouting off, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES.

I had a near-miss for kicking out a groomsman... I think my only saving grace was that I blamed FI because he did, indeed, do the deed. Before I had a chance to protest.

I think the camo is going to be fine! I definitely recognize the Mossy Oak pattern

Mossy Oak Break Up is exactly what we got! It was a huuuge ordeal but it was the only thing FI really wanted with the wedding... at first MOH's MIL was going to make them... then she filed for divorce and MIL told her where to stick it.... then my FMIL was going to make them... bought the fabric and waited 5 months to decide maybe it was too complicated... then a BM said she'd try it only to realize she didn't have enough time... so we finally had to order them. $400 later!

Three of the four groomsmen have offered to pay us back for their vests... which is totally unnecessary but very appreciated. I told FI he can work that out with his guys, however he wants.
