What color will look good with burgundy carpets at church?

Ok, so maybe I am over thinking this (please tell me if you think I am), but I realized that the aqua or turquoise bridesmaids dresses that I wanted to do will probably clash with the burgundy carpets in the church.  Has anyone else had this dilemma?  What color would go best with burgundy?

    You're over-thinking it.

    What color were the church carpets/flooring at the last wedding you went to?  Didn't notice or can't remember?   

    Burgundy is a fairly neutral color.  Anything you pick should be fine.

    I don't think it really matters, but if it makes you feel any better I think any shade of aqua would look good with burgandy.

    Agree with the over thinking it. Aqua and turqoise will look just fine. The carpets in my church are light red- I'm using purple. It doesn't match, but seriously, no one will care. I did however match it to the paint on the molding, because that was my favorite part of the church architecture growing up.

    I was advised, since my building I am getting married in and having the reception at is floor to ceiling red brick, to try and stay away from pink or red BM dresses.
    We are doing whites and grays, so it's a non-issue, but I think the color of the venue is worth considering.
    However, I think the colors you described sound perfectly fine.

    My church carpets are burgundy as well, and my girls are wearing Sapphire Blue dresses.  But that was not planned around the carpets.  Dont worry about matching, not a single person is going to think how the 2 may or may not clash.

    This is such a non-issue. I wouldnt worry about it, really. Pick your colors and move on to the next thing on your planning list. Dont get bogged down in this kind of stuff.

    Ok, thanks everyone!  I'm just weird about matching colors.  Y'all are right though, nobody but me would notice and I should do whatever colors I want :-)
