I DIY my invites...you can see them in my bio.

I just bought all the paper from LCI Paper....I am also DIY my menu cards, placecards, ceremony programs, welcome letter and the tags for the OOT bags

I am also doing them myself, they take work, but it feels good when the final product is done!

I am half doing them myself... you just have to look around and see what is actually cheaper... sometimes DIY invites can actually come out more expensive ...

I spent $80 for 120 invitations and response cards from the Brides collection at Michaels with 40% off coupons.  Without the coupons, they would have cost $40 each and would have been $120 in total. I love them, perfect color to match my wedding decor and I just have to print them out of my printer or get them done somewhere when the time comes.

    HTH! :)

I wanted pocketfolds, so I had to DIY to fit them in my budget. It can be time consuming to DIY though.

If I had gotten them printed at Staples instead of for free, I would have spent about $250 for all the supplies (including stamps and embossing tools) to make 90 invites.

And don't forget Stamps! My stamps ended up costing us another $118.

I designed my invitation in Microsoft Publisher..it did take time to make it perfect...  but I'm glad it paid off in the end!

I spent about $215 DIY. BUT I quoted something similar (mine are better) at a store outside Miami and they quoted me $600 for 100 invites. It really depends on what you want. I wanted black square metallic folders (everything square and metallic is more expensive) I wanted a yellow single flower on it (could not find anything like that already done so the custom made design was going to be more $$) and I wanted at least 2 inserts ($$)
So I decided to do it myself and it was work, specially if you are not crafty and a computer idiot like I am but let me tell you it was SOO worth it. My invitations are unique, special, elegant but modern. I have received so many calls and txts messages from my guest saying how original and beautiful they are and that they really reflect what we are and the wedding will be (I even included a quote from a Dave Mathews song!) I made mine in Power Point after I bought the pic of the flower in an online design and picture website. I say go for it..it WILL pay off! Tip: Buy the paper at office depo, they have everything and much cheaper than online.

    here's a pic..not really a great one..if u want to see more email me kryan3069 at gmail..Good Luck
