I need to take back a MIL gripe

I was cranky that she got the kids pillow pets.  6let already has 2 and I just thought M2 was too young.  M2 LOVES her pillow pet.  LOVES it.  She snuggles and buries her face into it and will just lay on top of it.  I take it back.   MIL found a good gift.

I also need to laugh at how cautious she and sFIl were about the meal I made.  They took tiny little portions then went back for seconds.  sFIL commented that he wanted to eat more, but he just can't eat much.  Dude, a bowl of soup, a slice of meat, a mound of potatoes, 5 bundles of bacon wrapped green beans, and 2 rolls IS a full dinner.  He still lives in his post surgery world of eating until full, except his full is now normal sized portions.

    Yay for a good gift!  My kids really love pillows and blankets, so those are always a hit in our house.

    My crazy MIL actually did a pretty decent job on the girls this year as well.  She made these huge fleece blankets in the shape of a dog for DD1 and a cat for DD2.  I'll take a pic later if I get a chance.

    hehehe she spends a lot of time with a furrowed brow.  Watch out when she does smile though.  It eats her whole face.

    We got one of our friends kids a Brutus pillow pet and I wanted to keep it for myself.  I think he's adorable, but of course DH thinks he doesn't look at all like Brutus.   I think he looks like a toddler Brutus.
    Anyway, they do make great gifts.  I have one for myself and I love it.  :)

    AND, all your Christmas photos of the kids are crazy adorable.   Also, I love your kitchen.   It looks so big and bright in the pictures.   I bet you hate to leave it!

    AF- our kitchen SUCKS.  It's the reason one person didn't want the house.  It looks good in photos, but reality is much different.  That is one room I won't miss.  Thank you for the compliments though.
