OL Tuesday

Dear Manager at Work,
I'm almost positive you thought I was the head of sales when you asked me to set up that meeting with the brokerage firm. I've been here for a year and a half. My name is Carrie. And I work in tax. Thank you.
ps - I'm a pushover, so yes I will go ahead and set up the meeting anyways......

Aww...haha. I like to say "go-getter" instead of "pushover." :)

    Dear License Plate,
Why must you jump out and attack my leg like that? I thought we were cool. Apparently not. This pain in my leg/welt on my leg is not helping my motivation to work out. It hurts to walk and I blame you. Also, I hope you don't give me Tetanus.

Bahahha. I don't even know what I would do at a toga party. One of my friends throws herself a "(NAME)-a-palooza" every year on her birthday and rents out a bar and everything. Her poor husband. Know what I did for my May 6 birthday? Went out for Cinco de Mayo the day before. Like every other human. And FI cooked dinner and that was a great celebration.

Wow, and I thought MY friend was bad. She threw herself a "30th Birthday Fiesta" with a Mariachi band and everything. Also, it was last year when the Rangers were in the World Series (ended up being the last game, mind you) and she wouldn't let anyone turn on the TV because it might take away from the "festivities" that she had planned. Ugh. At least it was only for one year though (so far...) I just don't understand. I mean, if you have a husband, can't he just take you and some friends out to dinner or something? Or at the very least, can't you talk HIM into throwing a low-key shindig for you? If not, maybe you should take a hint and stop planning parties for YOURSELF. /end.rant.

SIGH. WANT. I have boudoir pics in one week, and we have Nothing Bundt Cakes sitting in our fridge left over from the bachelorette weekend. And FI doesn't know I'm taking pics so he's like, 'Oh just eat one, the wedding is 6 weeks away and you already look great.'
Looking great in a wedding dress is a lot different than looking good in lingerie.....
  • Kylie, this is my first concert- I am so excited! And Chris Martin is my idol/second husband/soulmate. Ok- not that much. But if I was stranded on a desert island, coldplay would be the only thing I would alllow to serenade my lonely soul.

Carrie, nothing bundt cakes is one of my faves! I finally finished off all the leftover pies and our top cake tier. And there is a nothing bundt cakes close to the central market we shop at. Hello temptation.  *must resist*

On the talk of partying, I saw this gem on pinterest and felt it was totally applicable today: http://pinterest.com/pin/205758276695982161/

Like first concert EVER? You picked a good one! They put on a fantastic show! We saw them two years ago when we lived in DC, at an awesome outdoor venue. I only worry AAC won't be quite as great.

And ditto on the Chris Martin infatuation, there I's something SO sexy about him.

And don't I didn't consider trying to stalk him while in London during our honeymoon. But sigh, we didn't makeit up to their lovely neighborhood!!
  • I'm full of angry rage today!
    Dear MIL and Niece,
Stop sending me facebook requests to play bingo, I'm about to block you. This is the last thing that I want to see during the day when I'm at work (checking my phone on breaks, of course)--to be reminded of how you sit in your pj's all day and fuss around on the computer rather than being productive citizens. Highly annoying. Get a job so you can support yourselves so that J and I don't have pay your random electric/cable/gas bills.
    Lots of love,
Your DIL/Aunt that has work ethic and doesn't understand you.

    Dear facebook 'baby daddy' complainers,
You slept with a loser. Congrats. I wonder how many of these girls lied to the now baby daddy and said that they were on BC? Pretty sure he complains about how you lied to and 'trapped' him. It doesn't make you look like a martyr. It makes you look ridiculous.
Yes, I know that BC isn't 100% effective, but wear a condom for crying out loud. I made a few bad choices back in the day, but I don't complain about how they shaped my life constantly (good or bad), and definitely not openly.
    Toodles,
Your childless 'friend' that blocked you because your drama is annoying, who I'm sure you think is a huge 'b'. Whatevs.
