Photo Booth props

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy fairly cheap props for photo booth pics?  I am looking for hats, wigs, fun glasses etc.  I don't really want to spend a ton though.

Thanks!

I've never looked for stuff like this, but maybe try to dollar store for glasses, hats, and stuff. For wigs maybe party city.

You might want to try a thrift store, but you might have to wash or at least Febreze the stuff that will actually touch people.

Photo Booths are awesome! Some great ideas I've seen are...

Mustaches (if you want to go the cheap route you can make these. MArtha Stewart has a mustache tempate, see below)

Anything active makes a great pic, like confetti or bubbles, small beach balls, etc

Empty picture frames. (Michaels and Joanns usually have these in clearance sections.)

Chalk boards (People can hold up with messages and they are re-usable. You can make cheap with chalk baord paint!)

A fun back drop always jazz's up photo's!

Bubble word cut outs. (like you see in comic books. You can make these cheap out of poster board and a ton of them. Guets can write messages! THey would be fun to have for after too!)

    Good luck!

We are in the same boat as far as planning, only now I have everything I need to suit my Old Hollywood Glamor theme for the Photo Booth props. What are you items are you looking for specifically?

Try www.orientaltrading.com.They by far have the best assortment really creative and inexpensive party props and accessories to suit any style you can think of. This is where we purchased a lot of our items, and they all look great!

Here is a link to a backdrop, I am thinking about purchasing to place my canvas sheet on when we take the photos outdoors. Here I will be propping up a sheet that will look very similar to this,

only it will say Vanessa and Josh, replacing the Hollywood Hills sign

When is your wedding? If it is not on my date, and I happen to pick up this backdrop, because I will really need it, then you are welcome to use it, if need be.

Hope that was of some help. Have fun with it!

You know, I wanted to go the cheap route too....but it's NOT easy! Party city has a few hats that are realitively cheap. A lot of my bridesmaids pitched in for my bridal shower and gave me a bunch of the stuff that I really wanted but couldnt afford. I'm making mustaches on a stick and I bought my chalkboards from Save-on-Crafts.com. I hunted high and low in thrift stores and it was a waste of time...I wouldnt put any of those hats on my head and a lot of it was just trashy.

When is your wedding? I will be selling all of my stuff after mine, so if yours is after mine you can have first dibbs! :)

Good luck with your search! :)

Do the photographers not provide the props or are you just looking for something extra?

Thanks for the ideas ladies.  The photographer is my friend so he doesn't have any props.  My wedding is Sept 5 so if you are getting married before then and want to sell your props to me, I would be grateful.  Message me if you are interested.
