Tonight I went on a check off spree. I purchased my veil, tiara, and garter, so all I am still hunting for when it comes to attire are the perfect shoes.

Even better, I've booked my hair and makeup artist. As a girl who wears minimal makeup and and considers straightening my hair to be "doing it up," I'm surprised by how excited I am. I guess it's because I'll never go all out like this again!

But now I am seeking big time inspiration. Would you show me your current hair and makeup ideas? And I'm just curious, where do you guys mainly get your hair/makeup inspiration from? Bridal magazines?

And as far as makeup: I am not much of makeup person, and I really can't look at a picture of someone with makeup on and decide whether or not it will look good on me. I just went for a trial (and was planning on going to more if I did not like how she did it), and let her know that I don't usually wear much makeup, but I wanted my eyes to pop. And I LOOVED how she did it.

I was originally thinking I wanted my hair half up half down but the more I think about it and the way my hair hates to cooperate with whatever I'd like it to do I'm thinking an updo will work better. Here are some pics of my latest inspiration:

This also changes my plan of a headband though so now I need to figure that whole thing out. I'm not even in the realm of makeup yet haha.

1. Half-down updo (just found this on TK yesterday)

2. Low/curled pony with a bit of a poof (poof not really shown in pic) I have loved this style ever since I started looking.

these are my favorite for hair, I want loose and romantic, but haven't doen any trials or ordered my extentsions yet so we'll see.

Not sure if this is like half up/half down or just a realy long pony but kind of like th idea of some hair down on my back or oen side like this:

if not then definitely "full" and flowy, not tight and defined shiny curls, more natural like this:

Hair will be a cross between these two.

Makeup will be gold and pink tones, like this but with out liner on the bottom. I hate that part.

I found nearly all of my inspirations by bio stalking. We went ring shopping in July 2010 and got engaged in December 2010. I've been looking since ring shopping hahaha. So now I have 20 Hair ideas saved on my jump drive

and 9 Makeup inspiration pictures haha. So sad

I know I want my hair all the way up, because I plan to dance A LOT and don't want to have it on my neck all night. These are my top 3 right now (in no order in particular):

As for my makeup, I want it to look very natural and sun-kissed, with a smoky eye and neutral colour on the lip. I'm not a fan of bold eyes AND bold lips, and I'm really drawn to dramatic eyes, so that's the direction I'm heading. Here are some inspiration pics:

This was my hair inspiration for when I got it done last weekend. When my stylist curled it, it was pretty close. I'm still learning.

As for makeup, I guess I just plan to do it as if I were going out. Not my daily wear, just a little more. I have a hard time with the idea of someone else doing it, but I have 2 stylists that day (for whole BP) and both are great at makeup. I gues I'll just have to do trials to see.

I'm currently on the hunt for a stylist in Deadwood because mine will be out of town the weekend of our wedding.
