Dress shopping in Charlotte????

Hi ladies,

I'm brand new to the Charlotte area and need to start looking for dresses very soon.  What are the best shops to go to?  I am having a destination wedding and need my dress by May (I realize I will likely have to rush order).  Thanks for any help!!

    I bought my dress from Darlynn's and they've been great. I am getting my BM dresses from New York Bride. I would have bought my dress from them too, but they didn't carry Casablanca.

    If you know what designers you are looking for you can see which shops carry that designer. I would not recommend Mecklenburg Bridal only because they were more expensive for the dresses I tried on vs. other stores in the area. They choose to go several hundred dollars more than suggested retail price and do not offer a free veil like Darlynn's and New York Bride.

    i bought mine (allure) at Darlynns as well, and my BM dresses and we're doing the tuxes through them too- same line carried by Jos A Banks.

    i always rec Mallorie at Darlynns- she has been so helpful! all the women in there are great though.

    My sister got her dress and I got my bridesmaid dress at DarLynns- LOVE them!! They are so nice, so helpful and not pushy at all.

    I actually ended up getting my dress at Poffee Girls though. I worked with Karen- she was really great. Just make an appointment because they don't have many dressing rooms and the store is small.

    I also went to New York Bride. I didn't find the dress there but the workers were wonderful!

    I got mine from NY Bride and Groom - they also have tons of BM dresses and GM suits/tux to check out while you're in store.  They were really easy to work with!

    Poffie girls in Gastonia is definatly worth the drive, they are so wonderful.  I got my dress there for less than any price I saw in Charlotte and 15% off.

    Thank you ladies!  My fiance's job is actually what brought us here.  I'm from Minnesota originally and I am absolutely loving Charlotte!  The weather is so much nicer than MN : )

    I got my dress at Poffe Girls - would highly recommend it. They are so very nice and had tons of options in all price ranges. But first I would look online and get an idea of what you're looking for

    I'm also a NC transplant from Minnesota!! My fiance and I both love it out here.
    I'm also starting my dress search and have no idea where to begin.  I've seen lots of posts about NY Bride, Darlynn's & Poffee Girls and everyone sounds really satisfied with those places.  I'm planning to go to those places and also Lily Rose in Cornelius based on a friend's reccomendation because she got her dress there.
