Sample bouquet? Yes or no?

Currently my florist is quoting me $60 for my bouquet (I want a small one) and $30 for my bridesmaid bouquet. I asked if I could see a sample of what mine would look like and she said she could make it for me but it'll cost $50. Do you think I should get a sample bouquet or just trust her judgment?

Re: Sample bouquet? Yes or no?

  • It depends on how comfortable you feel with your florist.  If you absolutely trust her judgement then getting a sample would be dumb, but if you have any doubts are must see what it looks like before your big day then get the sample.

  • I did not get a sample of my bouquet.  It was just simple white roses.  I did get a sample of my centerpieces however.  If you are doing bridals, you could pay for the mock up and then use it for your shoot.
  • well my problem is i'm having a destination wedding. I will probably only be able to meet with my florist one time and possibly a month prior to the wedding. The only thing I have to look at is her website and the pictures she's sent me (which seem promising), so that's why i'm not sure if I should order the sample or not
  • I probably wouldn't then, but that's just me.  If it's worth the $50 to you to ease your mind, then go ahead.

That seems to be a pretty reasonable quote for your bouquets. What I would do is perhaps go online and find a picture of something similar to what you want and give that to your florist. They should tell you whether or not they can duplicate it and that way you have less risk of ending up with something you don't want.
