Hi everyone!

I'm knew to the knot and would love to get to know you all, so we can share ideas and stuff. 
I'm from the UK and am getting married at Vegas Weddings in downtown on 4th April next year!
Anyone else getting married around the same time or from the UK or just want to say hi?

    Frankensteinsgirl - The place I'm getting married is called Vegas Weddings but the website is called 702wedding.com, it's opposite the place that you get your marriage license from.

    Congrats on getting your dress!  I'm going for my first appointment to try dresses at the end of the month. 

    100 guests, wow!  Are you local to Vegas?  I'm planning for 10-15 and find it overwhelming to do from the east coast.  I've heard really good things about Maggianos too/

    Wow 100 guests! We are looking between 20 and 30, but I think that's pretty good considering they are all flying over from the UK. We also have a little boy who will be 2 when we wed, he's coming to Vegas with us but is flying back with my parents a few days after the wedding so we can enjoy our honeymoon.

    For reception we have booked a private room in the Canaletto restaurant, Venetian for our wedding meal, speeches, cake, first dance etc. We are then thinking of booking a large table at BB King's blues club so we can enjoy the live music, as I have heard very good things. We are not planning a very formal wedding, more focused on The fun which is why we're coming to Vegas :D

    hahaha coool. one of my uk friends went to nottingham about every weekend to visit family. I live in OC, california. Its close to Vegas, and I go all the time, so I have a leg up in that way. He doesnt get to see anything lol. My proximity to Vegas is also why we have so many people coming, plus I think a fair amount are flying out from London.

    If i remember correctly I've been to Canaletto before and it was delish!!

    mu55in - where in the UK are you from? Where are you having your wedding? We've been engaged for a year a half now but decided on Vegas in October last year.
    Princess pop - we're driving to California for our honeymoon, thinking about going to San Diego and LA. Glad to hear the Canaletto is good, the pictures all look great!

    im not sure where we are getting married we are nailing that down this week. i have several venues in mind.  our date is april 27 2013.  we plan on having 20-30.  im looking to do ceremony and reception at same place. i think would seem so much easier.

    Welcome! I am April 2013 too!!! We haven't decided on the exact date yet, but it'll def be April. It's nice to be be getting closer, slowly!!! I love the idea of having a ceremony and reception in the same place, but we'll be only 15-20 people and I haven't found a place yet, that is not too big for us AND where I like ceremony and reception venue...phew...
