NWR - What's cooking?

Literally and figuratively, I guess.  It's Sunday, and I feel oh-so-lazy despite the gorgeous weather.  I went to barre class this morning, and will give the dog a quick walk before heading into the office this afternoon for about 6 hours (boo).  The weather is pretty here -- 65ish and sunny but with a threat of rain.

How about y'all?  What's on tap today?

Re: NWR - What's cooking?

  • We're cleaning out the spare room to make room for all the baby (ahhhhhhhhhh) stuff that's got to make its way in sometime before July. Did the groceries too and general tidying. I had brunch with some local knotties/nesties/bumpies too, which is always nice. I met them during the wedding planning stage like 4 years ago, and we've kept in touch this whole time. It's been awesome. =D

As for what's literally cooking: I made a zucchini-carrot loaf with cranberries and pecans and just finished making some crab pasta salad for dinner.

Hello ladies! Today I picked out some colors to choose from to paint our living and dinning room. I wanted two separate colors but now thinking about just using one for both. I'm looking into a medium grey color and possibly a sage green for then dinning room. When my FI moved into this house (his grandparents) he painted everything beige. I'm bored, it's gotta go. Dinner time for me: I made whole wheat pizza (on south beach) with turkey pepperoni and mushrooms. It was yummy.

  • Good Evening Ladies, FI and I had a great breakfast and then took a 4 mile walk through a bird sanctuary near our house. We actually had some sun for most of the day, but still really cold.  I just need warmth as this winter has been hard on the PacNW. His son brought his new baby, FI's Grandaughter, over for a few hours and we made them turkey burgers and salad for lunch. I haven't gotten to know this son very well but the visit was good and they are already inviting us to camp this summer.
We saw Hunger Games last night and ran into his ex. She started yelling at him in the movie theater. Really, we just walked away. Luckily we were in a different theater.  I knew we would run into her sometime and it was upsetting for him but kinda glad we passed that unknown. Anyway I didn't like the movie. I don't like violence and had not read the book so I wasn't prepared for all of the killing.  FI actually liked it.  Probably because he hunts.
I will be leaving for the Bay Area at the end of the week for an all girls trip and I am already missing FI.  I know it's good to be a part some times but I really enjoy his company and it's going to be hard to be gone for a week.
