Sparklers and Second Line

Im in a bit of a quandary....I love the look of a sparkler send off, but also want to do the second line at the end of the reception, so that there is a definite ending to it. I'm an OOT bride and not familiar with how second lines usually work, so wanted to know if you ladies think its possible to do a sparkler send off (for the GORGEOUS pictures) and then second line after the pictures are taken? My event coordinator at the venue doesn't know how it will work since she says it hasn't been done before, but my second line band said they think they can make it work. What do you ladies think? Am I crazy?

    What do they do with the sparklers after the photo op? Maybe your coordinator could have a trash can or something they could throw them in if they want on the way out. Personally I wouldn't want to second line while holding a sparkler. If you have a station for to go drinks, you could have it there, they can toss the sparkler as they grab their drink. Where are you second lining to? Perhaps when you reach destination, then have the sparklers laid out got people to grab and do the photo at that time?

    Totally NOT crazy.  A lot of times, when there isn't a place to second line to, the band/DJ will play the second line song and the guests just parade around the reception hall to the second line.  Then, you get your grand exit with the sparklers.

    Actually, now that I think about it, I went to a wedding where they did just that.  We second lined around the reception hall and then the band announced that they were going to send off the bride and groom.  We had bubbles for the send off, so everyone lined up outside the entrance with the bubbles and the bride and groom ran through to their getaway car.

    Totally possible to do both.  In fact, that's probably what I'll do at my reception.  It's very common when your wedding doesn't necessarily allow you to have a second line from point A to point B.

    @ queen Jane: yes they Would throw away the sparkler, grab a drink, then second line to monteleone. Just trying to figure out if it will flow properly without too much chaos. Also, don't think it will work at monteleone, I'm imagining a logistical nightmare. @silverspark: I have heard people do that before, but also really want the pictures of us down bourbon (can you tell I love pictures?!?). I'm trying to figure out if I can do both!
