Invite Envelope/Addressing Questions

I just have a few questions about the invites & envelopes:

First of all, I printed my invites & response envelopes wrong. I put my name first instead of his. I haven't printed my invite envelopes yet though. Would it be unacceptable to print the invite envelopes the same way & let this slide or should I reprint everything? Problem with reprinting the invites is that the paper was left over from a job at my work & we don't have anymore. :/

Our addressing is:
Lynne LastName and Robert LastName
1234 Address
City State Zip

So for the guest's addressing, is it okay to address it without titles (like so):

John and Jane Smith (John Brown and Jane Smith [for diff last names])
Children in ABC (if any)
1234 South Street
Anywhere, NY 12345

----------

How would you address serious couples who don't live together? The person who lives there first and their partner below them or is it okay on same line? Is it okay to put the female first in this case? Ex:

Sarah Jones and Ryan Brown
HER Address
City State Zip

Side note: We're only doing 1 envelope, not inner and outter envelopes.

    Who is hosting the wedding?  That's who's name appears first.  For example, the bride's parents, then the bride, then the groom.  There are many possibilities on wording depending on the situation.  As for addressing the envelopes, you should list the person's title.

    Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

    (for unmarried living together, if you know the woman the the man is the partner)
    Miss Jane Smith
    Mr. John Doe

    Forgot to mention that my fiance & I are hosting the wedding. We worded our invites with just our names on them since we're mainly hosting the wedding. Would it still be okay to have my name first?

    For the addressing, it's okay for my fiance & I to not have titles but the guests to have titles? I would think you'd want it the same way. We think having titles on our names makes it way too long on the envelope, lol. We also have a small number of guests & the wedding isn't super traditional.

    The female always goes first (when not using titles).  Thus your name should be listed first on the invitation itself.

    As for sending the invites and the return address: listing "and" between two names indicates marriage.

    For the return address on your envelopes, I'd say:
    Yourlastname/FIslastname Wedding
    address

    It's most common to use titles when addressing wedding invites, but I guess the final choice is yours.

    For married couples with shared last name using titles it should read: Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

    Married couples, no titles: Sharon and John Smith <you shouldn't seperate the man's first and last name

    Married couples, different last names: Sharon Stone and John Smith (ladies first, including "and" because it indicates marriage

    Families with kids:
    Sharon and John Smith
    Sally, Michael, Casey <list children in order of age; oldest to youngest

    Couples that live together but aren't married:
    Ideally list the female first, but if you're closer to the male, it makes sense to list him first.  The names should be on separate lines and no "and" between them (again; using "and" indicates marriage. Example:
    Sally Smith
    Joe Schmoe
    address

    On the actual invites themselves it'd probably be okay to leave "and" since we are marrying? I may just have to let that slide because if I have to reprint them, I may pull my hair out lol. Thankfully I bought a ton of RVSP sized envelopes, so I can reprint those. Was considering it anyway, to put guests addresses on it & save them the hassel.

    For our name on the envelopes you're meaning something like this:
    Smith / Brown Wedding?

    I like that & than we could have the guest's with titles.

    And yep, that's what I was referring to for the return address (Smith/Brown Wedding).  GL with everything!
