NGISR: TGIF and weekend plans

So Friday has once again hit town and therefore I'm curious whether you'll be a socialite this weekend or not? Will there be temptations? What will you do about them?

***
I'll have a calm and quiet weekend, since I need to pack for christmas back home and also close the flat down (vacuum, clean the horribly mountained kitchen, wash some clothes, empty and shut off the fridge, make some small christmas gifts, etc.). No temptations in sight - other than that last piece of ice cream :) I'll rake some leaves in the house garden if the weather is nice and will take a walk to the shore as well, but my flu is still bothering me a bit. Have a great one, ladies!

Re: NGISR: TGIF and weekend plans

  • I have a busy weekend.  Saturday morning is breakfast with santa.  I'll eat before we go.  Saturday night is FI family Christmas party at 6.  That is really late for me to eat so I'll either do a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.  Sunday is me and FI anniversary we are going out to dinner with no kids.  I'll make a healthy choice.
  • I generally dont do much on the weekend. I have a training session with my PT tomorrow morning, I have to go shopping for supplies to make truffles (im giving them as gifts), and im home alone the rest of the night and will probably just veg. I tend not to eat when im home alone and have no bad food in the house. Sunday is more of the same, id like to catch up on some sleep, go to the gym and start wrapping gifts and maybe finish decorating the tree.
  • This is a big study weekend for me.  I've got my last grad school final on Monday, so I'll be cooped up in the house most of the weekend become an expert on two-phase flow and heat transfer.

Unfortunately, when I study I tend to snack.  I do have a bunch of carrots and celery in the house, so maybe I'll make up a healthy dip to go with them.  I guess I just need to be prepared to snack well.

One of my friends wants me to come into a party at her house in Toronto tonight, but I 1) just don't want to make the trek into the city tonight, and 2) don't want to lose that valuable time tomorrow, so I don't thnk I'm going.  I fear I'm drifting away from most of my university friends.  Oh well.  Life goes on.

  • I've finished with exams!! woohoo! unfortunately, the people I tutor have not.
This weekend will consist of a rehearsal dinner, wedding, two graduation parties (none of which are mine :-P) and tutoring. I'm probably going to use all of my weekly and activity points this week and my plan of action is to make sure I get some exercise every day, eat healthy before I go to events and work in small tastes of things I love so I don't miss out :)
  • I don't have any big plans for the weekend so I should be able to eat pretty healthy.  We're getting takeout from Olive Garden for dinner and I discovered that I can get myself a kid's meal that is grilled chicken, steamed broccoli and spaghetti with salad (since it is takeout, they don't know that it is not for a kid!).  So I'll be able to eat healthy (although it probably will have higher sodium than I'm used to).

  • Unfortunately I have a strange work schedule this weekend. 2-9 on Sat and 8-3 on Sun, no lunch breaks. I can't decide if I want to work out on Saturday morning or Sunday evening. Weekends like this make it hard to stay on track!! I've got a final coming up next Friday, and I'm generally a stress eater. Lets hope I don't mess everything up!!
  • Oh wow, I really had a brain fart - the original plan was to post something NGISR. Lol, oh well.
  • karialex- I definitely understand, my healthy side tends to go down the drain when it hits finals. I started always carrying water with me, so I wouldn't reach for coke, and to somewhat plan ahead so that I had healthier food around me instead of going to the vending machine. Good luck and I HTH- sorry to butt in :-/
  • As a follow up to my post, I just wanted to share my excitement that I looked at the OG nutritional values and that kid's meal is 310 calories, 5 g fat and 680 mg sodium.  That is compared to the meal I used to get (Garlic-Herb Chicken con Broccoli) which weighs in at 960 calories, 41 g fat and 2180 mg sodium!  WOW!

  • My office Christmas party is Saturday night, and apparently there is lots of food and alcohol, so I will probably not do so well calorie wise on Saturday.  But I am leading a 7-mile group run Saturday morning, so at least I'll get my exercise in!
  • Tomorrow our group of family friends is getting together to eat all day long. We're doing a Progressive Dinner that starts with brunch. Literally - eating all day.
