Ugh...Alan Ray Bridal

Very bad things to say about my experience with them... I ordered alfred sung dresses through them in early March and even paid for the rush order for all of my bridesmaids and they JUST came in beginning of August for my Aug. 27- was told the time was because of the designer but when my Maid of Honor in Chicago ordered 3 different Alfred SUng dresses b/c she is pregnant with possible twins she got the dresses with no rush charge in 2 months.

Communication with them has been painful, no calls back when I leave multiple messages and confusion on payments for my girls dresses. I just called and the dresses have been there for a few days and no call to me when I have stopped by 3 times in the last month and called TONS of times because I knew it was coming down to the wire.

Overall BAD experience, the worst I've had with any wedding service so far.

I am sorry to hear that.

I bought my wedding gown at Alan Ray Bridal. It did take a day or two sometimes for their staff to call me back. I did experience some of that, so I know what you are saying. However, I had a great experience with my dress consultant. As far as my alterations went, I had to keep checking in with Alan as we lived out of state at the time and I wanted to make sure everything was ready to go for the times I was in town to go for fittings. He is a bit scatter brained and I saw some of the communication issues when I was there as well, but he sure does a heck of a business, so I guess he must be doing something correct.

thanks for the info. you should open a new knot account with a different screen name that isn't your email. i did this at first too but for internet security reasons, i'd recommend it.

I worked with Alan Ray for my gown and my girls dresses. I understand what you mean with the communication issues, but they did a great job with everything. Alan even custom made the sleeves for my gown (it was strapless) and he does amazing work. Yes, he's a bit scatter-brained, but I think that under the time constraint you gave them, it's not too big of a surprise. Also, your MOH size might have been in stock already which could be why she got the dresses quicker. Overall, I thought they were fabulous and would recommend them to everyone. Sorry you've had issues!

I think they suck pretty bad. I tried to schedule an appointment with them and they never called back. Their loss!
