Cherry Blossoms in Charletsville

so for as long as i have been thinging about wedings (about the time i joind this site) i have wanted to get married under the cherry blossoms. Now me and my FI are moving to Charletsville and i am doing google searches but am not coming up with a lot. Does anyone know a palce or should i just move the weding to richmond?

    There aren't a lot of cherry trees in Charlottesville, but there a TON of dogwoods, whch are also really beautiful.  They usually bloom in early to mid April.  As far as a venue....I'm not really sure.   Just about any outdoor location would probably have dogwood trees.

    If you do decide that dogwoods are an acceptable substitute for cherry blossoms, there are some beautiful dogwood trees scattered around the Grounds and gardens of the University of Virginia. Not sure how you would go about reserving a tree though! :)
