Let's talk about weird things...

Whenever I see a Kia Soul in white or cream color, I sing the Darth Vader tune (dun, dun, dun, duhDAHdun, duhDAHduuuuuuun!!), because I think they look like storm trooper helmets. Yet, I never do it when I see a black one. I got my H doing it now, too. It's like out of no where.

If I wake up at, say, 7:47, I will wait 3 minutes to get out of bed, I MUST get out of bed at an evened numbered time. Same with leaving the house, or starting anything really.

I won't eat chicken sandwiches pretty much anywhere for fear of eating non-white meat or biting into a nerve or something. If I eat pasta, or a salad with chicken, I inspect every piece.

I really like Hall & Oats.

Now, what weird things do YOU do? I have so many more, I will think about them and post more later.

I count my steps. I count in sets of five most the time. I'll do 1-2-3-4-5, 1-2, 1-2-3-4-5. It's really weird. I count stairs too and if the back of my foot hits the second step from the top, the other foot has to hit the second step to the bottom for it to be symmetrical.

WOW I sound OCD here.

I'll think of more I have some weird habits haha

When we have dinner and it's, for example, a meat, a potato, and a vegetable I will eat each thing seperately. LIke, I'll eat all of the meat then all of the potato and finally all of the vegetable. I don't think I do it intentionally because I never even noticed I do it until friends, family, etc would point it out to me.

Sammy- I do the same thing! I used to eat my pizza with a fork in high school. I still do on occassion but not very often. I also eat popcorn piece by piece. Unless I am absolutely starving. I save all the marshmallows for the end when I eat Lucky Charms. I have the same routine in the shower everyday. Shampoo, bodywash, rinse, conditioner, bar soap, facewash, rinse.

I cannot have my food touching at all. I mean I have been known to have a plate, bowl and napkin to keep things from touching.

I have to eat one thing at a time. I save the best for last. If I think I am getting full then I will move on to the "best thing" and not eat the rest of the food.

I have to have a clean plate. I cannot use a platde that I have always used.

It use to be much much worse, but I count things. I've gotten a lot better, but I used to count stairs, ceiling tiles, steps I took...If I realized I started on stairs and forgot to count, I would go back to start again. And ceiling tiles...let's just say that caused me to have to re-take a few exams in high school!

If I play with my hair, I run the hair through my fingers in a pattern (between pointer and middle finger, between ring and pinky, between thumb and pointer, between middle and ring)...then do it backwards, etc until I've completed a pattern. Similar to touching my thumb to each finger, in a pattern.

Again this use to be worse, but if I slide my cup on a counter or table on accident, I have to slide it back the other way to "even it out." To explain: imagine the table had sand one it. If you slide the cup, you will make a dent/hole in the sand. So you have to slide the cup back to even out the sand again.

I don't know if I would classify myself as OCD because these things (no longer) affect my ability to function normally in daily life. But definately weird stuff

Hmm... I drink my coffee with a ton of cream and sugar. FI thinks I'm crazy, he likes his black.

I play with my hair all day every day. Other people's too!

I set my alarm for random times, never on the 5 minute mark. So it's 7:22 or 7:47, but never 7:30 or even 7:35.

I walk intentionally on cracks when I'm walking by myself or with my dog. Every crack. Extra big steps or small steps so that I step on each crack.

I wash my feet before bed every night at home. I don't like the idea of dirty feet in bed! For some reason, I don't care at hotels though.

At night, I'll walk into another room and turn on the lights before I go back and turn off the lights in the room I was in. I don't like walking through a dark room - if I have to, I run!

OH! I am doing this right now... when I highlight stuff in forms/paperwork, whatever... if just one highlight is not straight or weird looking in any way, I will throw the form out and start over.

I calculate my daily allowance every other day. Like, I will check my account balance, subtract up coming expenses (bills, gas) and divide the remainder by how many days are left to the next pay day.
I can spend $45.61 until Weds. when I will re-evaluate. Oh crap, that's tomorrow! YAY! That means I will have a higher allowance. Mmmm ok I am weird.

I have very strict shower/getting ready habits, and woe betide those who try to break them. Soap-body wash-shampoo-facial exfoliant-repeat shampoo-conditioner-face wash. Then, once I'm out. brush teeth-toner-deodorant-moisturizer-eye cream-body lotion-brush hair. It makes FI crazy because the only way I feel like I can do a "sexy" shower is if I've already showered that day. If I'm trying to take a shower to go out, or haven't taken one yet, I just can't do shower sexy times.

I can count the number of times I've slept without some sort of sports bra on since junior high on one hand.

I will doodle or cut little designs with an exacto knife when I'm bored or on hold on the phone. My doodles look exactly like the ones my Mom does when she's on the phone.

When I am filling up my car with gas it has to be in a multiple of $5 (Unless I fill it all the way), If I wanted to put $15 in and I go over $0.01 I Have to put $20 in.

I don’t eat cereal with milk in it.

When I am doing a crafty thing I put all the markers in color order… if I am using colored pencils I have to put them in color order, but will not use the pencils that are a great deal larger/smaller. Ideally they would be all the same size…I have been known to sharpen all of them before I start and will make sure they are all the same size.
I will not walk over storm drains for a great fear of falling in. I know the 2 ton truck just drove over it, but the 100 something pound Amanda is going to cause it to fall through

I only eat one type of meat at meals, I don’t like Chicken/Beef/Pork all being on the same plate. Tur-duck-in (Turkey, Duck, Chicken) is probably the most disgusting sounding food ever.

All my clothes have to be folded the same way and clothes hanging in the closet are all organized and facing the same directions. FI made me put hangers on our registry. I told him I had plenty but he said they all had to be the same color. He also insists the toilet paper face "out" and roll over the "top" of the roll.

CAB- I'm glad I'm not the only even number person!!

I lock my car twice.. if I can't remember hearing it, I will go back out and lock it again, but I have to hear the "beep" "beep" twice. Like CAB, I refuse to get up until it's an even time. I refuse to make servings for one or three.. only two or four. If we get an odd number of eggs from the Chickens, I will leave one out there until there are an even number of eggs.

I get irrationally pissed off when people drop by unannounced. I have anxiety if I haven't thanked someone well enough (or timely enough).. Like I will wake up in the middle of the night and sit down and write thank you notes. I can't sleep if the kitchen is dirty. If I have a cut on my hand or fingers, my nail polish has to match my band-aid. If my nail polish is chipped, it has to go! If I'm interrupted when I'm making tea, I have to start over. Oh! and when I'm making tea (iced tea FTR) I have to tie all the tea bags together in a big knot...

I refuse to step on cracks when I walk, I have to get up on the same side of the bed always. I'm a side sleeper, and I sleep better on my left side, but I have to start out on my right side.

I'm an OCD mess..

My closet is organized by color. First I have dresses then all of my other clothes follow the rainbow (ROY G BIV hahahaha) then pants/skirts. I bought a flipfold like in big bang theory so all of my folded shirts would look the same

I tend to count everything, usually in groups of 8. I think it came from being a dancer all my life and doing everything in 8-counts, but I catch myself doing it and think "that's so weird."

I also have a hard time remembering that normal people out in the real world don't want to hear about the things I see/do in med school. I've gotten some really weird looks in restaurants from people that overhear me talking. Haha
